Ahri's new splash art updated and its in S@20 info and PBE..... IMO

Alright, here are my opinions on how I feel about the new Ahri splash art, note that some of my grammar are bad due to my lack of English writing and , and also the fact that my English understanding is bad, and its gonna be a tl;dr, but anyway lets get started

NO JUST NO!! WHY?! WHYYY!?!?! NO

The ears... they don't even show up enough or look like it anymore...and its not pointy enough and the way how its positioned, and not even adding it more to make it dosent make it look fox like so its not that much of an appearance... not big enough... they dont show up more to the splash art

The orb it looks like theres a snake in it why does it have to be in circles? why? that is not Ahri.. why is there a snake looking thing in her orb? do you see her carrying a blue snake around in summoners rift/ ARAMS/ Dominon/ Twisted Treeline? I dont think so.. and the looks of the colour is defeinetly too dark

her tails texture just dosent look right! why does it like a carpet? instead of a smooth texture? it looks like a carpet or she had made fake tails and stick 9 of them at the back of her waist... and Its a weird looking texture.. comparison to her old one and the foxes.... who sees those kinda tails these days? Because this is the first.. I have seen it look like that..

Her clothes is fine, but except she dosent have the bell on it anymore, which still shows in game and makes bell noises when she dance

Her skin colour is fine

Her eyes doesn't even make her Ionian... but the colour is right though unlike the cinematic one and the season 4 login screen that riot made her with blue eyes but it kinda look foxlike

The 3 lines on each of her cheeks.. you can barely see them... that also ruins the appearance and the identity of the nine tailed fox which she is today... so if there were new players in league people wouldn't know what Ahri was from before.. they would think she just have yellow eyes with 9 tails and 2 ears ( if they would even know if she has ears)

Her hair the way its designed its alright.. and the colour is fine

The background display is good enough to represent Ionia that she is from

Alright lets get the the point here Ahri didn't need a new splash art, but in fact having a VU would had been better because of her tails coming out of different spots that I have been finding really disturbing in game...

A person has mentioned about this and one of the rioters, Riot Whist confirmed that she is getting a VU in the future from the thread I read

The reason why I do not like this splash art is because It literally kills Ahri's Identity for who she is... the biggest problems are her ears that dosen't show up enough, the 3 lines on 2 of her cheeks are are only showing up 1 and a half while the hair is blocking it and its positioned in a wrong way.. and her tails.. don't get me wrong they are right its just my complaint on how it looks on the texture,

but this is my question.. why would riot do an Ahri splash art instead of making a new VU for her tail in game?

what bothers me the most of all in the new splash art design is her face, because Ionians don't look like that comparison to the old one Ahri (soon it will change once updated)

and hell.. even the ears in the season 4 login on Ahri looks better.

Alright just take a look one more time.. compare her new splash art tail to the old one and the in game one, it does not match

As I've said in another thread, I'm mostly disappointed that the woman in this splash is actually not Ahri. If you look at her face, the bone structure is completely different from how Ahri normally looks.

Her chin lost its sharpness, the nose no longer has an inward curve, while her lips and cheeks lost their puffiness. It's literally a different woman posing while dressed in Ahri's clothes. And even that changed. Ahri's in-game clothing has a low-cut tube top with a singular shape. This one hugs over her breasts, which wouldn't be possible unless the clothing was literally tailored into featuring pockets for her breasts.

Overall, it feels like the artist thinks Ahri's sole defining physical features are her breasts and thighs. It's objectifying and gross.

There's an image of a fox in the orb, not a snake...And long hair gets fluffy, it doesn't just go out and then be smooth. If it were supposed to be smooth, that would mean the hair is short and therefore her tails are super fat to make that size. And that would be really weird.

I don't have anything to say that hasn't been said already. Please reconsider sending this art out. Her old splash is fine, we can wait a while for a new one. On the subject of her old splash, why does she look SO much different in this one? This has the same feel as the new Vayne art - unnecessary, unwanted, and unimpressive.

Look at her old art compared to the new one Riot, they look like they're showing similar characters from different games. Yes the art quality is getting much better, I agree to that, but when you change they way champions physically look in the process...that's not a good thing.

The original art is beautiful. I don't know, I'm just really not a fan of the new one.

Honestly, I feel like it's a slight improvement over the old one in certain ways (just more detailed), but I don't like it as much. The color scheme seems too cold for me, I feel like the "charm" aspect of Ahri needs more emphasis (I mean, it's a CC that's unique to her and only her). She seems a bit like a scared ghost fox running away, instead of a cunning, alluring fox drawing you in; the latter seems to fit more with her character imo. I feel like Dynasty Ahri captures her personality the best; I think I'd like the new splash if her hair didn't seem so disheveled, her pupils were a bit more defined, and she had a hint of a smile; also maybe if there were some warmer colors in the overall splash; her costume seems a bit out of place with everything else going on.

Walk into my room wearing one of my 2 Ahri shirts I got from Jinx (don't ask why I have 2). Login to Surrender@20 to try to catch up on news I missed while on vacation. See cool stuff happening on the PBE. Log into that to get in on the good stuff. Notice a metric crap ton of new icons. See one of my favorite champs is one of them. Hover over her to see the rest of the splash. What is this? I can't be the only one that thinks this. Come to the Boards. Find this thread. Hope enough of us that love the foxy lady speak out until something's done to improve it.

Ahri has one of the most unique and beautiful faces/splash arts in game. I still switch back to her classic all the time even though I own all her skins because I just love the way it looks. Hell, ahri is the reason I joined league. When I first looked at the character roster when my friend was trying to get me to play back in season 2 none of them stood out to me, until they released Ahri. And I agree, this new splash just inst the Ahri I joined the league with... And if that ahri that Ive come to main leaves and is replaced with this, I'll just have to leave too I guess.Ahri

I agree that the new splash art looks a little off, and I especially agree with the lines on her face not being visible enough. The image I have posted below is just a Photoshop retool, but does it look any more like what you would expect? I 'moved' the whiskers closer to the center of Ahri's face, and I made the ears a little bigger.

I really like the fact that Riot is taking the time to upgrade all of their artwork, but some of the details seem a little rushed.
