Turns out, Riot's releasing a digital album of League music on Amazon this Wednesday and the Amumu song is part of that album.

The Amumu video is a nothing more than a commercial for the new album.

Edit: According to Riot Wenceslaus, the album will be free on the website and available on spotify and other formats.

the majority of these are already posted on their soundcloud for free for download, same as how the pentakill album(which ironically was an actual album) was posted on there to download for free.

and i dont understand how a song cant also be a telling of lore,

jinx's thing was a song, but was also considered lore.

you guys are silly.

I wonder who some of these songs are meant to match up to? Most of them are obvious, (Quinn and Valor), but others are a bit more dicey. I like the last one for Viktor.

Now, if this were say....a subscription MMO, any short stories or the like etc would intrigue people, and make them want to keep playing the game. Anything players do or discover through gameplay must make them want to keep playing or buy the next expansion.

But in leagues case it's a free to play game, so all you have are skins, skins, and more skins and occasionally a new champion unlock. I heard similar comments during the 2014 Harrowing "Wat thiz? Iz just sellin skinz! It cant count az lorez!" It's the primary way Riot makes money actually, selling RP ...IF Hipplaus is to be believed -some paranoid tinfoil hat folks think E-sports publicity, and advertising/endorsements etc is enough to sustain Riot all by itself.

Anything lore wise that comes out is going to also tie in some fashion to some content release.

Yes it got released as a way to create hype for the album but thats about it and basically the case with any kind of lore.

I'd say it still counts as a lore-related video, even if it is part of a larger promotion, but that's just me.

It's not full-on lore, but it is a look at the character itself in a different medium.
