It's been well over a few year since the gravedigger's rework and Riot has STILL only left him with the absolute most basic amount of lore while expanding tons of other characters.
Since Mordekaiser and Volibear are even getting their lore updated more often than Yorick, why can't Riot spread the love over to the poor gravedigger?
You think that Yorick won't get any more lore because he didn't get anything new for over a year?
Have you even looked at the lore schedule and the average amount of lore a champion gets per year?
A lot of champs don't even have an updated lore yet and the only reason why Mordekaiser and Volibear got so much lore is because they are connected to a lot of characters/factions, which caused them to appear in stories that focused mostly on other characters. Meanwhile Yorick is a fairly isolated character, he doesn't really have any allies or deep connections to anyone and his influence on the shadow isles is rather small, meaning that he'll rarely play a role unless the story focuses specifically on him.
EDIT:Also once Mordekaiser gets his VGU he might come with more shadow isles lore in general, which might feature some Yorick lore.
well his lore is practically finished, because if they continued they would have to end it and that cannot be done because then why would he look like that anymore in the game? it wouldnt be a problem if lol was a single player game but when it is a constantly expanding, evolving and alive game, you cannot put a dot at the end of anything, it just wouldnt make sense even if everyone wants it
you think that i dont want yuumi to find norra but then all her voicelines would need to be reworked, and new ones added, along with norra being introduced as a champion
that is just too much work for such a minor backstory change since they really care about the lore and a slightest tweak could turn out as too much work
why do you think that those outdated lores take so much time to get updated they have to think of a way to make it a refreshing background story without having to change the looks or the abilities of the character within it
that is why in this case lol was much better when we were the summoners
