As an inventor’s assistant in Piltover, he was bored by his predictable life and befriended a mad, blue-haired bomber named Jinx. After a wild night on the town, Ziggs took her advice and moved to Zaun, where he now explores his fascinations more freely, terrorizing the chem-barons and regular citizens alike in his never ending quest to blow stuff up."

In his previous lore he saved Heimer from a Zaun prison using his new bombs and proved himself

New lore, he's just some idiot that wants to LOL explosions ecksdee and joined Jinx in blowing up his own city in that comic

Neither are Heimer or Ziggs notable geniuses anymore, they are pariahs living in hiding now because "muh Yordle retcon" that has apparently already happened despite no Bandle City event or update in sight

Inb4 Riot erases the fact that Teemo defeated Veigar and saved Bandle City

Well, Ziggs serves as the "moral compass" of Jinx... he IS doing good, by telling her: "Hey you know, maybe you SHOULDNT blow up everything, even if its fun sometimes"

Ziggs isn't a villain though. He tried to stop Jinx from harming people in the comic. In fact, I'm pretty sure he DID, and then when he was found with Jinx, Heimerdinger ditched him. If anything he is a Chaotic Neutral character that loves blowing things up, but is a voice of reason to Jinx's insanity since he actively stops her from turning a body into body parts. He enjoys explosions, but there is no proof that Ziggs helped Jinx harm anyone in that comic. The opposite is true.

Riot has made it clear that they don't care about the old lore. Their current writers get total creative freedom to erase anything that existed before they arrived.
