So does Tahm Kench go after people he can make miserable or does he help at times?

From what I have been reading on, he feeds on misery(or something close to) by offering people something they want but it bites them back in the ass completely(gambler from the video, Veigar exploring the world). Does he go researching people he thinks he can make miserable or does he actually become a "nice guy" in a sense he will help someone without making them miserable if it is at the cost of others?

Example: Pretend X wants to kill Y in order to make Z suffer but is unable to get to Y in order to kill. Y and Z are madly in love but X hates Z for taking Y from X. Tahm notices this and "helps" X kill Y in order to feed off the misery of Z, basically making Tahm and X happy at the expense of Y and Z.

Also does Tahm instigate wars? I believe there is a saying that war breeds misery so wouldn't he want to instigate war in order to constantly be full or does he want misery to be bred in different ways? Perhaps he did this before?

One never leaves a contract with a demon better in anyway. They always bring ruin, in one form or another, with their business.

Your example is one (if I understood correctly) of the ways he might acquire misery. It's also possible he prefers 'straight' deals with one or a few people, due to the scale of things. Emotional misery of his contractor might be the prime meat he's after, rather than secondary (someone else suffering as a consequence). This ties into your question about him starting wars - a people suffering in misery might be completely different, and the stomping grounds of a different demon (Hi Aatrox).

I would presume, for simplicity's sake, he's a very personal and 1-to-1 kind of demon.

It was said that for tahm to "sate" his hunger, someone has to "let him in",so I wouldn't be so sure if tahm could even "profit" from making Z suffer,I mean maybe tahm has to literally feed on the despair of those who make a contact with him.

However I'd say that even if he could,he would merely take the chance and make both Z and X suffer.

I think he "gives" someone what they want until their greed consumes them, at which point the victim physically becomes Tahm Kench. So he's some kind of demon that manifests through someone's greed.
