Thoughts of Skins: Ornn

I've been packing up my shit into my parent's car for the last hour-'n-a-half, kind of been drinking out since it's my last night home for a while, am tired, sweaty, and wanting to die from exhaustion and not wanting to go back to college (last year and I don't know what to do with my life from here)! But, present week was last week, next week is now and something, something is next time, so let's talk about Ornn!

Right, Ornn was roughly released around 2 years ago now, so he's a fairly recent addition to League's roster. He's got a good look, great character/personality, and is overall a pretty cool guy. So it is kind of a shame that he's now gone on this long without a new skin, while other champs that have come before him, like Kayn, have gotten their next skins sooner than him, but even champs released after him, mainly Kai'Sa and Pyke, have also gotten at least one before him.

Now, there are some factors to this that you can take into account for that (popularity, solo que, marketing, etc.) but I'm not really here to look at that. What I'm more interested in is if his design makes him hard to make skins for.

I mean, let's really look at it for a second:

• He's big
• He has horns
• He's animal like, similar to that of a goat/ram and maybe a dog(?)
• His theme is that of a forge

These are more or less his main themes from what his base is, so it makes sense to keep to that in some degree. But that does beg the question of how close do we keep to these themes? Well, if his Thunderlord skin has shown us anything, he doesn't really need to keep the molten theme, so maybe it's not that hard as we may think. There are plenty of themes that Ornn could fit into that still keep some of his initial design characteristics, give more unique takes on him. I think it just comes down to what Riot makes for Ornn and how willing players are to pick it up.

In any case, here's my list of ideas:

• Candy Cane - Could be fun with this sweets-molded craftsman who's kind of the grump of the land. Hammers are lollipops, breaths rainbows for W, ult could be a gingerbread-man.

• Frostborn/Frozen - Polar opposite skin. Kind of low effort, but you never know. Could work still. WAIT EVEN BETTER-!

• Santa - PERFECT! Perfect concept that could be done for this year. Santa makes stuff, he makes stuff. He can be the grumpy Santa (since we have evil Draven Santa and big daddy Braum Santa already). W is snow, ult is reindeer or snowman, it can work dammit!

• Demolisher/Battle Ready - Kind of thinking of the Iron Butcher skin from HotS or Demolisher Nunu. Could be an interesting concept of Ornn gearing up with mortals for a battle, maybe in some alternate history where he occasionally meets with humans or has to at the very least team up with them from a threat.

• Grill Master - he's a chef. Hammer is a meat tender or whatever. Anvil is part grill. I'm tired and running out of ideas.

Anyways, that's all I can think of. What are your thoughts? Agree with some points or like some ideas? Have some of your own?
