Are Jinx's weapons still considered hextech or are they all chemtech now?

I know her bio says she uses chemtech explosives but are her guns chemtech too? They look a little more like hextech to me, which is what they were before the emergence of chemtech in the lore.

Well, the chemtech is for chemical technology... i would assume jinx weapons are more hextech than chemtech, could be wrong but yeah o.o

I would say, simply based on who jinx is and what she does, they are a mixed bag. I am imagining that The Zapper is more of a Hextech weapon. It's elegant, it's shiny, it's got good clean feel, its got long range, and its bloody strong.

For Fishbones and Pow-Pow though, I'm not sure if they are chem-tech. Hextech is generally really smooth and ornate, a lot of flowing designs and light and shiny bits. Chem-tech is more visceral, more gritty. It does the job, and it does it fast and effectively, form means nothing. Dull metal mostly defines chemtech, that and the exposed chemicals and flames that attune each one.

Fishbones and Pow-Pow might be chemtech, but only because they lack the smooth visuals of more sophisticated weapons like Jayce's Hammer or Cammy's legs. They do what they need to do, and they do it really well.

Plus jinx hangs around mostly in Zaun, she probably gets her stuff from there. Bullets are expensive after all, hextech bullets probably so much more so.

I would think chemtech. Hextech is the expensive stuff from Piltover, chemtech is the cheap stuff from Zaun. Unless she acquired a hextech crystal or two and didn't know how to use it to her full potential and stuffed it into her gun, her guns are chemtech. If they were hextech, they'd be a whole lot stronger.

It's hard to say because she more than likely made them herself from stolen/found parts. It might be a mix of both honestly.

Would black powder count as chemtech?

I mean, it IS chemistry powered.

Hextech explosives are a thing created by Ziggs, so i assume that everyone else (Except maybe Rumble and Heimerdinger) use Chemtech explosives. The rest of her weaponery seems to be Hextech.
