Why buy skins when you can download your own for free?
I'm just wondering why you would buy skins when you can get nearly the same quality for Free from a custom skin app\site. EDIT: down voting is fine but please comment so I can understand why

Because I love this game, want to support it, I want to show my enthusiasm for a champion, I love the skin, other reasons.

I'd rather support the company and keep it running. Using 3rd party skins is just taking money away from Riot. :/
I mean there are many reasons why people just dont use custom skins. While they are nice, a lot of people dont want to mess with the game files. Plus it is in the grey area of 3rd party applications. And could potentially ban your account. Then people just find the official skins to be more than enough, or just like to collect them!

Using 3rd party content is illegal and besides that even if it was not, only you can see the downloaded skins not the other players so what's the point
I actually find most fanmade skins either badly done or just uninspired (in particular, things like Spiderman Amumu and other cosplay skins sound like the epitome of dullness to me for some reason).
To me, they are a lesser alternative to the products Riot has been churning out each patch.
I buy a skin because i want to show it off. Community skins don't cut it for me
Its simple: Your enemies and allies cant see the skin that you are using.
