Why no Lore?

Baal Haded·Oct 17, 2016·2 votes·2,445 views

When are the people who enjoy the lore going to get more? The 3 sentence champion bios suck and the fact that older champions lores have been chapped from interesting stories to brief synopses is sort of sad. There's been no web comics, no graphic novels, novels, ect. I feel like with how popular League is and how popular these forms of entertainment are becoming (DC and Marvel are doing well), I don't see why this hasn't been explored.

I feel like a lot of players personally become invested with some of the characters and would like to see more of them outside of the game.

tfw when you make a post specifically to answer lore questions and direct people to lore, and that thread gets SODDING STICKIED and still people ask this god forsaken question.

Well if you're curious, go read this and you'll find out where the lore is:

Is the link working for you? Cause I get Error 404. I remember the thread, but you should check again

Why can't I find PDFs your short stories? I really need PDF of Bloodline story.

SharjoOct 17, 20161 votes

Odd. Guess I copied the url twice or something.

Fixed now.

There is literally a sticky thread at the top of the story-board explaining just that.

So in short: The long lores aren't in the client,in the client we only get the short lores. The best place to find the long lores is likely the wiki.

Who has time to read fictional histories in a video game, shm....

SharjoOct 17, 20161 votes

Do you not have time for hobbies? Even ones like reading?

SambersOct 17, 20161 votes

Reading fictional stories isn't one of my hobbies, like for real, reading videogame characters stories is pointless...

MarbelaraOct 18, 20165 votes

Well that's just, like for real, your opinion.

Star GuardíanOct 17, 20162 votes

It's a hobby. You may find it pointless, but other people find it enjoyable. One could ask you the same thing. Why do you play LoL in your free time? It's not anymore productive than reading lore (assuming you're not a streamer or going pro). Well, presumably you do it because you find it enjoyable. Likewise, some people enjoy to read lore in their free time.

SambersOct 17, 20161 votes

And who says I play this game, the free time I have i spend it working in other job....

Beyond LegendsOct 18, 20167 votes

Then why wasted time on the league story forum if you don't play the game or like the lore?

Perhaps next time think before you post to stop making yourself sound like a complete moron.

Star GuardíanOct 18, 20161 votes

Working at a second job isn't free time if it's necessary. Unless you don't need to work a second job and do it because want to. In which case, do you man. But it begs to ask the question, why are you even on here?

Perhaps OP was trying to be ironic.... maybe?

I guess the dedicated champion pages on the websites that have the full lore is cool, but if the lore is non-canon, are there any plans to have things like web comics or graphic novels? I mean a lot of people read manga and comics, and LoL has a pretty large dedicated player base. Are there any plans for that after the whole lore thing is fixed? I know a lot of people have also been screaming for other forms of entertainment, such as animated series for LoL (I doubt it will happen), but it seems like a lot of people would be on board since the lore as we know it or used to know it was pretty cool.
