Braum has a Russian accent, yet no one else from his area has an accent - at all. Not Ashe, Sejuani, Tryndamere, not even Volibear. Not even the ancient creatures like Lissandra or Anivia have the same accents, and now not even Ornn. What gives with this? How can Braum have a English/Russian accent in a region that doesn't share any of his dialect?

Oleandervine1 votesThat may be so, but anthropologically speaking, the nature of the peoples of the Freljord, especially being as tribal as they are with so many shared cultural traits and ancestors, and their constant intermingling through war, there is just not enough divergence and diversity to account for different accents. Lissandra is an exception, because she's ancient, but Braum should have a similar accent to his contemporaries living in his region.
RookPusher1 votesOn what basis is that argument being made? There's not much divergence and diversity between Portland, Maine; Providence, Rhode Island; Boston, Massachusetts; and NYC, New York but they all have different accents.
Oleandervine1 votesThey have different accents, yes, but a lot of those accents are derivatives of the immigrant populations that inhabited those areas many years ago.
The Freljord is notably not friendly to outsiders, and the probability of them having immigrant based populations within their warring tribes is fairly low, if non-existent entirely.

Nixtarma1 votesWell, a lot of the Freljordian champions were designed a while ago. At least before the comprehensive world updates started coming around. I would expect more of this as older champions get updated, and new ones come out.
I mean, Riot took the effort to establish rules for Ancient Freljordian from Old Norse, so they clearly have some idea of how the cultures work now.
