TerraRising29 votesWhen Riot announced their retcon plan, I don't think either the Narrative or the supposed "Foundations" teams realized how much work that change actually meant for them. Not only do they have to figure out champion bios but also friendships and rivalries and everything else.
Therefore, if this entire retcon takes less than six months from today (October 23, 2014), I would be shocked.

The lore community just making up our own LoL lore, building upon the original foundations and adding in whatever we like from their new material, sounds better to me every day. Meanwhile, let Riot go off and make their "foundations" for some ridiculous media franchise, MMO, or whatever they're planning in some League-less alternate version of Runeterra.

Ironically several champions were at one point. In the old JoJ Blitzcrank created a dating service that operated through the holo-net.
Also, all the champions you see that are friends, in a way that seems odd like the OP's example, met through the IoW. Meetings, matches, common beliefs, etc.

Who knows, maybe Thresh does have some personal grudge or something against Lucian? After all, he is intentionally still carrying his wife's soul around instead of taking it to the Shadow Isles.

Yeh I feel yah but as someone who really loves Thresh having a enemy just dosen't feel right... with his personality he dosen't seem like a guy to hold a grudge, btw one theory is that Senna reminds Thresh of his own wife or something thats why he took her soul, and to OP their are a bunch of rivalries that seem werid to me

On a serious note: There is also the possibility that thresh simply wants to kill lucian because he wants to add him to his collection,you know it'd be just like completing a set for him to have senna and her boyfriend. Alternatively he might see it as his job to punish the livings who cause a ruckus on the shadow isles.
