When Riot announced their retcon plan, I don't think either the Narrative or the supposed "Foundations" teams realized how much work that change actually meant for them. Not only do they have to figure out champion bios but also friendships and rivalries and everything else.
Therefore, if this entire retcon takes less than six months from today (October 23, 2014), I would be shocked.
I've basically stopped caring about what Narrative does. The lore community just making up our own LoL lore, building upon the original foundations and adding in whatever we like from their new material, sounds better to me every day. Meanwhile, let Riot go off and make their "foundations" for some ridiculous media franchise, MMO, or whatever they're planning in some League-less alternate version of Runeterra.

I am 100% they will have to rework the whole landmass of Runeterra. All it is, is a huge circle with a few islands. Cities and 'exotic' locations dont make sense where they are.
Riot is kinda bad at the whole consistent storytelling thing.

Well I'd say they met through the IoW, but since that doesn't exist anymore....
Yea I think most of these would require an update since Institute of war is gone. Some of these also make no sense because we didn't get the story behind it yet and that might happen in the future.

Hell, a bunch of the friendships/rivalries didn't make sense in the first place. But yeah, even more of them are senseless now.
