Galio's theme song doesn't fit the scenario at all, IMO

I love upvotes but here I go,

I'm not music literate, nor literate in anything, but I do have feelings. And I felt like the music didn't fit the splash at all. What I had in mind after the intro scene was more of a solo female singer, something more along the lines of glory and beauty, and not a blatant badass "rawwr", more of an almost opera, but not quite, with a religious thing to it. More gracious and less... of what it is now. Maybe a chorus and an occasional bassy drum.

As if Demacians would dedicate Galio songs and singing after his successes.

I tried to find something on youtube, if I eventually do I'll show ya what I mean :P

I know what you mean, it's exactly what I was anticipating. Something along the lines of Quinn or Poppy's theme, but with a twist to make it feel uniquely Galio.

His new theme seems to be geared towards illustrating the fear/dread Noxians must feel when facing Galio in battle rather than the inspiration/sense of duty Demacians get when looking at him. Or maybe it's both, leaning more towards the former than the latter.

I think that it works. I'll run through why.

First, look at him. He's ####ing MASSIVE. A single singer wouldn't work well to convey his size. A chorus might, but with guitars and percussion it's a lot easier to convey size that just vocals. For example, look at Asura from Asura's wrath. His theme is calm music, that fits with his berserker theme because he's small yet vicious, and doesn't seem like someone a calm atmosphere would work for. Similarly, Galio is so massive that voices cannot display the massiveness of the Demacian Guardian.

Second: Lore-wise. You say it could be songs of galio celebrating his victory. Problem is, Galio is viewed more as a myth than a reality. We know he's real, but most people who say they saw Galio move seem to be treated like they just hallucinated during battle.

You were looking for songs, this is the asura theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_wKk3RIsv8

Maybe it work for Galio in your opinion. I'd love to hear your thoughts on my opinions.

Yeah, I have to agree with you. The theme he got is more 'fierce battle' themed but himself is more victorious/love of battle. Too much Aatrox , needed more Poppy/Quinn in there. At least when you get half way through about it start to feel right for him. To me it fits his old character better then his new superhero/wrestler style.
