So when can we finally expect the long awaited Cass VU?

Let's look at the facts for moment, okay?

We're talking about a champion here who hasn't had a single skin-release in over 4 years (1529 days to be precise). Right now you could also call her the female Yorick of this game. The last change to her visuals was a texture update back in 2014, that's it.

Then we have that list of leaked skinreleases which has been 100% spot on with its predictions so far (Cosmic Yi, Darkstar Orianna & Khazix, information on the Zac and Maokai reworks, accurate description of the new champions, etc.) that merely confirms that the skindepartment doesn't hold any interest in developing anything new for her.

Next point of evidence would be her fabeled tail-update which has been on the PBE for more than 3 months now, and yet you haven't given the slightest feedback on the state of that project. It's quite likely that your ongoing silence is just the result of said project being put on a hold or even getting abandoned alltogether.

So what can we deduce from this development so far? We're dealing with a champion who was released back in 2010 who received 2 launch-skins (Desperada & Siren) and 2 further skinreleases back in 2012 and 2013 (Mythic and Jade Fang). With the sole exception of her classic splash, she didn't receive any updated artwork either.

Since then she's been completely neglected by the skin-department which was later explained due to her upcoming rework(s). They supposedly didn't want to touch a champ who had bigger changes ahead of them - meanwhile Ryze, who receives gameplay updates on an annual basis, is still eligible for skinreleases. Do you see the hypocrisy of that statement? Well, we've already had 2 reworks for Cass so far and there's still no indication of any willingness to produce anything new for her in terms of skins.

I fear that even the attempt to update her current rig would pose to be more trouble than it's worth, the ongoing delay on said tail-project is proof enough of that. Why not give her the much awaited VU she's been longing for all this time? She's a season 1 champ, shouldn't she receive a proper treatment like everyone else from that era? You even remembered Yorick, Sion and Poppy (and Urgot is soon to be among them, too) - so why not Cass?

The only way for Cassiopeia to ever receive a new skin is an inevitable VU.

Long...awaited?

I legit wasn't aware she was scheduled for one, I can't recall any major problems with her like to warrant a VU.

Model is fine, animations seem fine (at least from what I remember), and the effects are fine/got a slight update with her changed kit.

Once again, I had no idea she was slotted for a VU.

Honestly, if anything, she'd need a VGU.

She's one of the most toxic and unfun champions to play against anyways.

Well, simple minded person, as you can see if you ahd eyes, the example of which you have given me comparing the two cassiopeia models specifically shows the differences in the models (specially if you use your eyes and look up the head area, the torso area and even the snake tail.

You claim you know about #D models, and yet you are to simple to even see the basic differences from each model. they are there, so you cant tell me they are the same models with slapped in new textures, when in fact the model has been changed to accomodate the new textures...

Cassiopeia and Renekton already got their Visual Updates together with new Splash Arts back when the Shurima event was launched, they are from these champions that didn't need new animations in their visual updates just like Fiora, Singed and Maokai

Don't try to fix what isn't broken. She looks fine and her animations are fine. There are many other people that need it. Evelynn Kayle

There's also an ongoing visual problem with Cassiopeia where she reverts to her pre-2014 Classic texture on death in all of her skins except Jade Fang. I've brought this to attention several times, even got a Rioter to say they'd look into it, but nothing has come out of it.
