Riot, please give Twitch the proper lore he deserves.

I'll say here and now that I've been a fan of him since...well. Since forever. Since the game was first playable with him in it. I've stuck by him as one of my only characters regularly played, followed, and am likely far too big a fan of a character that started out as 'a comedy relief sentient accident'.

For a very long time, that's all Twitch was. Comedy relief, with a side of a story that could've been great. Twitch was described to be almost monstrous, ugly, and filthy, yes; but along with that, he was the start of a unique and revolutionary process of 'birth' through a chemical mess created by the very people who were known to use chaos to create. Twitch was born of an entire city's years of hard work, labor, freedom, and creativity. He was the very thing that their work, technically, couldn't bear--a new life without sacrifice or reanimation.

Neither Piltover nor Zaun, nor any other part of the world, had created life in this way.

Well, now that's Zac's story. I'm fine with that.

That means Twitch needs to be something great. He WAS something great--he was supposed to be. You've given me very high hopes and confidence knowing that his 'hatred for humanity' was included canonically in his lore, now (skavens are well known to hate humans as well, however they really just hate every other species).

It's mostly my own theories and headcanon, but Twitch has to be completely hateful of everything related to humans now that he's been through hell and back, from humans treating his lower species like it's nothing, watching them die and reproduce over and over, to living in crud, to being a part of a city that teaches you to be chaotic. Learning that the world isn't fair on anyone. He's a child born into the world without even the simple knowledge newborns have within months of living; yet has to live as an adult, strife and all.

He deserves to be something that is not comedy relief.

I spoke about this to many others, but Twitch is, in reality, the #1 threat to Zaun itself. Yes, Mundo can possibly be dangerous, but he has no agenda but doing...well. Meme aside, 'as he pleases'. He doesn't care to specifically harm anyone unless he just so happens to. Viktor, we don't have too much information on him yet, but he doesn't seem to want to force any sort of large change on any large body of persons. Jinx likely wouldn't simply stop at Zaun specifically, but she seems to enjoy wreaking havoc elsewhere. Singed is likely the closest thing to a massive threat to Zaun aside from Twitch, and yet Singed...again, is simply following what most Zaunites themselves do. He's pushing limits, experimenting, and defying any gods that might exist with his work.

Twitch has the potential to threaten an entire city using plague rats, possibly causing the next, far more efficient and unavoidable Black Death, provided he manages to find the means to instill that kind of biochemical work into a rat's reproductive cycle. He could threaten OTHER cities over time. Camille, Piltovian officials and Warwick have every reason to come after Twitch for what he could be doing to threaten the chem-barons, or any other leaders in the city in order to gain the power needed to seize what he wants. Over time...he can start exterminating.

And of course, it could all be because the rat is alone in a world that hates him.

There are a RIDICULOUS amount of possibilities with this character and I don't want them to be missed. I almost had a panic attack when I realized Twitch was missing from Zaun's page, but now I'm actually glad you guys are putting work into him.

What I do hope is that 'Singed created him' isn't what you're going for, but alas...Singed seems to be at the heart of many things lately.

Regardless? I trust you. Make Twitch great. I know you can, Riot. Thank you.

As a fellow Twitch main, I'd like to think he's a selfish character. One with no real close ties to anyone else in Zaun, and finds glee and fun in murderous rampages without any other cause. I like a lot of your ideas, adding a lot more depth to Twitch than what is currently available. When they get to him, I believe they'll make something great. So far I've enjoyed practically all the new lore I've read, its been well written and thought out. Twitch Twitch Twitch

I'm no Twitch main. But he have been my favorit champion since I started playing league thematicly. He is the only adc/marksmen I play and like playing. Normaly I only play fighters and such top and hate playing adc, but with Twitch it is different.

I have a idea about what I would like to see from the Twitch lore update. Would'nt it be cool if Twitch in secret down in the sewers he was trying to redo the accident that made him who he is? That he is trying to make more humanoid rats or what ever you want to call 'em. He want to make rats the dominant species over humans. Spreading pleague to humans and make Zaun the nest of rats. Eventually spreading the pleague by Piltover. If he could get a rat in every trading boat that comes to Piltover and will go to another city/kingdom or whatever he could endanger the whole world. One pleague rat can do big things. I mean just look at midievil times in Europe.

Twitch would still be the most powerful of the rats. He would not try to build a army or anything. He would just have as many rats so he could spread the pleague to different parts of the world. Maybe a title like the Rat King or King of Rats would be fitting but that is not so original. We already have a river king, a troll king and a monkey king. I would prefer his current title though.

I don't know if this would be a nice way to take Twitch so please tell me what you think. I really want riot to give Twitch a good future in the lore so is not just some side character that does absolutely nothing. I think Twitch can bring a really good story.

Hm.. quick question before I get started. You don't happen to be that the person that used to be behind that Gentleman Twitch blog a while back right?

Well.. anyways. I main Twitch and host a Twitch / ZAC blog so I guess I should put in my 2 cents. Realistically speaking, knowing how Riot handles their lore, they would most likely keep him as a comic relief character. They try to retain "the core identities" of the character to not disappoint the fans (Gods be damned on Viktor) and if you look at Twitch's VU page, they said that his core identity is to be ** comically** crazed and sinister. Sure he'll be a villain, but a rather funny, unimportant villian in anything if you consider Twitch's history of little to no interactions in the lore. If anything.. it would be on the level of Rammus being unimportant in Shurima's story.

As for what I do want to see in a Twitch lore update.. I just want something more than "he's a sociopathic creature that likes stinky stuff! Hah!" I do agree with you on him having potential: Twitch being the only plague rat in the world gives you a lot to work with if you consider problems with identity (Racism, Species-ism, etc.) and there's a lot to do with his paranoia. The rat lies in a world that hates him. We can also add some stuff from his old lore on him trying to recreate his sentience as his method of ridding humanity and actually surrounding himself with people that may actually accept him. Sure we can retain that comedic edge, but there can be a dark side to Twitch as well.

There's also the fact on Twitch and ZAC's relationship. We really have no clue how this relationship works out at all since Riot never really gave us clues, both in the old and new lores. The only clue we get is ZAC being in the sewers and pipes throughout his life which is bound to get Twitch's attention. If they're friends, that could add another layer to his character. If they're enemies, then it makes me question why Twitch hasn't dealt with ZAC yet if he's been in his sewers this entire time.

Again, there's actually a lot of potential for Twitch and I really do want a good Twitch lore, but it does come down to demand from fans, and I'm pretty sure lore enthusiasts aren't gonna be too hyped at a Twitch lore update as say Ekko or Viktor or Jinx and even then, most Twitch mains / Twitch fans don't really like him for his story; they like him for his ult and stealth. He's just not as important or popular it seems in terms of the lore.
