But the background on the new one looks better and cool
why did they update her splash art with the current one (that looks great) then feel the need to suddenly make a new (vastly worse) splash ???????? it looks fucking horrid
They made her more feminine(not sure why), but they definitely fixed her teeth. The new background is better, and the splash is overall better. One thing to change is right now, she doesn't look tiny. She should look small to tiny in size.
The eyes and colors definitely look better to me. But still... the current splash is better. When they were redesigning her, why didn't they make her look like the current (recently updated) splash?
New one has a lot more detail. That's something I don't think anyone can deny.
I was one of the people that preferred the old one when we got it but I did make a few edits. Me being a vainglorious bastard, I was happy to see edits I suggested actually make it into the updated splash.
I think they both look good but I think I'll always prefer the old one. If I were to critique the new one though, I'd say her right cheek (our left) is chubbier than the other one. Part of this is caused by the crease from her grin being only on one side. It gives the illusion one cheek is fatter than the other. I also don't care for the new one's eye lashes. The new face might be a little wide? I like the details of her new hair, but I prefer the shape of her old hair. I thought her tiny yordle hands were adorable in the old splash, so I was sad to see them go in the new one. I like the older ears better too. The new ones are good, but they're a bit on the large side if I were to be honest.
The eyes are a different story because I have no strong feelings either way. I was in the rare camp that thought they looked fine to begin with. Sure, they could've used a few edits, but most things do. The new ones look fine as well I suppose. Without the lashes, I think they'd look a bit better.
Like I said though, I think they both look good in their own right.
The one currently in-use in the game is 20x better than that thing.
It looks like one of those anthropomorphic mice/rats in kid's TV shows, it doesn't look anything like what anyone imagines a Yordle as.
If I was shown this out of context, I wouldn't recognize it as Tristana at a glance.
the new one's background is great and making her less horridly cartoony is a nice improvement.
the detail is also very pretty but i terribly wish they would have implemented at least some of the armour from the splash we are all seeing in game at the moment - at least on her feet! even teemo has some shoes on :(
