If Veigar was competent, he'd be one of the most dangerous characters on Runeterra. Thankfully he isn't, he's just a laughing stock. I like to imagine the people of Bandle City play along with Veigar and let him do his mischief while they go about their business and humor him.

In terms of overall competence Veigar is one of the least threatening mages, and in terms of raw power he's fairly strong, though still likely much weaker than the likes of Xerath.

Id put him a bit lesser than Syndra personally. He seems very powerful, but syndra does near nothing but grow her power, or thats my impression.

His magic is clearly stronger than Xerath's, however Xerath apparently can not be destroyed where as Veigar can (I'd assume).

Yeah, if he was serious about what he did, he'd probably give the strongest mages or demigods/ascendants a run for their money.

I put him at a tier directly below Syndra, who is directly below Xerath, who is barely below Kindred, who is directly below Bard.

Chances are Veigar is probably mostly hostile to Noxians due to his lore. IMO if you're not from Noxus then he's probably just going to give you a weird look and not bother too much with you unless you make a short joke.

Now, if you're a Noxian chances are there might be a smoldering crater where you're standing in a second and he will unleash quite a bit of pent up rage and/or anger at you.

Veig should just shush and let Lulu take him home.

Id say he would probably be on par with Syndra and similar top mortal mages if he was actually serious. While he is powerful, he seems too silly by "playing evil" to use his full extent. And due to that, he is probably one of the weaker mages.

It would be similar to that big guy at school that could probably smash someone's face in but is gentle and as harmless as a fly. He is indeed capable of it, but can't or won't.
