I still think Azir isn't as nice to his ~~slaves~~ subjects as people think. He's not a monster, but he probably rules with complete control. Yes, he is making the area better, and yes, everyone will benefit, but there's still a difference between forcing people to do stuff and inspiring them to want to do it.

This makes me think about riven and Yasuo, like I want to know why the girl who wanted honor went and killed a village elder after she defected from noxus, did he catch her in the woods and know who she was? Did she go to him for guidance but lie about her identity and when he found out he assumed her a spy?

Maybe he was the traitor and she took him out for being a villain behind the scenes
