Since you were going with mostly animal themed champions, it should have been Asol, not Lux getting her 9th skin before he got his 3rd. Just saying.

If there is an actual year of the dragon in the Chinese calendar, would it make sense to give the prime dragon champion of the game a skin for the year of the dog?
No.... It's the right move from Riot to postpone Aurelion Sols lunar revel skin until we are in the year of the dragon (2024). Not saying Aurelion Sol shouldn't get a skin as soon as possible, he deserves it after that long wait. But don't destroy thematics and concepts by forcing him into a skin line when it's not time. Give him another skin soon.

Well , I'm a Lux main , of course I wouldn't say no for a new skin but , I agree, this feels rushed ,she got an ultimate skin, and it shits on all other skins , why would she get a new skin while Taliyah still never got any skins except her first skin ? besides her new skin looks like 2 of her Elementalist forms being combined , Lol

Not sure why Lux is getting all the hate though. Nasus has 7 skins prior to this and warwick has 8; Lux also has 7. Elementalist Lux was released late 2016 and is not within everyone's price range. This is a good alternative to SG (her only other decent skin)
It's her 8th. And too be fair she's been out since 2009 and had 2 skins on release. That's 5 skins in 6 years with is pretty 'eh'

Asol has really not much to do with dogs either,so by that logic he wouldn't have made sense as well.
If anything the only 2 other champions who have something to do with dogs would have been 
(but since lamb is the dominant part of the character they'd make more sense for the year of the sheep) and 
(who has already enough skins as well and her last one is more recent than Luxs)
