[Advice] Keep your expectations low when it comes to the lore reworks...

I'm not going to be popular with this notion but when it comes to the upcoming lore releases, expectations should be kept to a minimum.

  • There won't be more than 8 of these "lore reworks" released by the end of the month.
  • I'd expect Gangplank, Miss Fortune and Singed to be among them, given the new reworks and Jaredan's own comments
  • They're an attempt to expand on a handful stories without committing to a full scale job.
  • If this endeavor is successful (if the tech issues are fixed, or if we like the format if not the content), I'd expect no more than 2-3 reworked bios per month with emphasis on regions. (If Bilgewater is this year's Shurima, then expect the entire world of Runeterra to be mapped out by 2025.)

Again, I'm looking forward to what Narrative is going to deliver, but my excitement is tempered by years of disappointment and failure.

Who the hell is naive enough to have high expectations? Hell I'm excited for the lore prospects yet I'm sitting here saying "Ok let's see what happens. Could be a lot could be a little we'll see."

Just be wary going in to this folks. Keep calm, relax and take things at a nice, comfortable pace.

Let's be real, we're pretty used to Riot underachieving in the lore department.

I'm pretty much expecting nothing. I've never seen any company spend over a year on "tech issues" involving text on a webpage. They'll probably give us a pretty general format with the same dark and mysterious lore.

It take this less as "Don't get your hopes up kid" and more of "Don't get pissy with whatever comes."

Because, I'll be honest. A lot of people pop up randomly with the salt because they expected greatness when the short summary bios appear, and they're like "Rito, why did you take away their previous story," when Riot didn't delete anything.

"You mean to tell me Graves and TF never were partners and had a rivalry? Rito plz!"

...Some don't listen.
