Is Jhin from Ionia, Bilgewater, Piltover, Demacia or is him an independent champion?

I thougth, after looking at his mask, that he was going to be an Ionian champion. However, other than his mask he does't look Ionian, he looks something from Bilgewater or Piltover.

I assumed Demacia because of the design of his clothes and the iconography across his design, but his champion reveal has the Ionian bridge concept art that came with the lore dev blog that explained they were doing away with the IoW from 2014.

My money's still on him being Demacian but sod if I know at this point.

My bet is he's from Demacia. His clothing looks a lot like something a Demacian would wear, specifically the color pallet consisting of white, gold and red. He also has some rose elements on his garbs and gun. But honestly, i'm waiting for the VO, that might shed some light on his background ^^

Honestly, he does look like he's from a Demacian noble family. With that level of clothing it's possible. Remember what happened with Fiora? They all have their own sorts of rules and so forth in regards to reclaiming their honor if they are shamed. Perhaps Jihn is one such result of nobility that failed to reclaim said honor, and sets out on a journey to recover it, hence his grand, extravagant play. It's obvious that he's also a talented Marksman so he clearly does have an indication of intellect. It's possible that during his attempt to reclaim what was his, he failed and the result was that he was horribly maimed and lost one of his arms and possibly his lower legs and could have driven him mad, and the only thing on his mind; reclaiming his honor, was warped into making everything 'perfect' and 'beautiful' as a subset of him going nuts.

The technology in his metal arm goes more advanced to what Piltover has, given it's intricate detailing, so I assume his arm is of Zaunite origin. If I go with the theory of Jihn being formerly noble, it's quite plausible that he would have had access to the funding for such a piece of technology, including his weapon. His sniper/revolver from what I think might be a hybrid of Piltover and Zaunite technology, and the rest of his armory is definitely Zaunite in nature.

I doubt he is demacian. I mean how many demacians do we know that use some sort of hextech weapon or who has anything to do with technology at all? None. Even Lucian who is from demacia has guns that are made of magical stones.

I think he is much likelier a piltovian, because he doesn't look like he is from zaun,as zaun always had a more punk-like design.

Alignment is independent for sure Either Ionian or Demacian, leaning towards Ionia.
