... where is the long lore we were promised?
I'm just curious. Is it not done yet? Are you planning some bigger event and hold it back for that? Or are you at Riot just evil evil people loving to let us wait?
RiotWAAARGHbobo10 votesThere is a short story. It was intended to go out last week. It got held up by some region's ratings concerns, which have been resolved. Revised version will be going to Loc teams for translations today. (But i have no idea how long it will take those teams to localize it-- -generally seems about 4 to 10 biz days depending on their current workload)
SaltyToplaneGoat7 votesRating concerns? Pfff is Riot now obliged to do "family friendly" lore or what? May I ask what region in specific was holding it up?
Ralanr5 votesRemember that some countries have a different view on what meets certain ratings than others. Australia is a good example of this considering how hard it is to get some video games there.
Meep Man1 votesA note that, yes, Riot does have to have at least some law abiding stuff. Some splash arts for old Karthus were banned in China due to having skulls in them.
SaltyToplaneGoat2 votesChina already gets their splash arts tho. IMO if a region wants something extra they can get it, but only on their server then. As long it is only cosmetic that shouldn't be a big problem.
1Ferdinand13 votesCan you post a line that got "censored"? Just to have at least an idea of what was the original.
Darius Strada1 votesDidn't know Riot was turning into another Nintendo/Disney oh wait...It's because of China isn't it?
SaltyToplaneGoat2 votesMy guess is that the great tencent overlords have spoken... I'm curious what was the reason tho...
Decrit1 votesBoy, the writers really like to get brutal lately
Baron Von Bangin1 votesHey those extended Shurima bios are gunna come out soon, right?
Gunna update that Singed lore, right?
Stars Shaper1 votesSand is offensive in some countries so we'll never see them.
GreenLore1 votesAh thanks for the info.
But what about the Shen lore?Is he gonna get stuck with the short lore for now or will it also come later on?
Star Guardían1 votesMy only concern is if the censorship will hurt the integrity of the story.
Etc1 votesIs this still going to be released?
CREEPERTON1 votesI think they just messed up.
They should have done the Lunar Revel shyt, later, and done all the Jhin story with his release.
Poor planning on Rito's part.
Skelenth1 votesYou mean this one? It's on the website, because the client can't handle big lores for some reason, idk.
SaltyToplaneGoat1 votesNope, we were promised a short story that is less of a "history book description". It was supposed to come with his release tho...
Ralanr1 votesI'm also curious. I'm a little worried that he won't have any.
