Is it wrong to think that I want to see a younger Shen and Zed, working together, inseparable as brothers, promoting peace?

It could happen. I mean, we did it with Graves and TF - the Bildgewater skins depict them back when they were younger and first in a gang together, fighting back to back.

A common enemy might have the two of them fight side by side again. For a short time at least. The enemy of my enemy is a potential ally after all.

I'm really interested in seeing Jhin's longer lore now.

Well, they were, at least implied by how the lore goes. Then Zed decided to pull a Sasuke because he couldn't deal with someone being better/picked over him.
