VGU: Rewarding an older playerbase

It's occurred to me that whenever a champion gets an update to the same scale as Sion, or Warwick, every main of that champion keeps the mastery points and rank from the last iteration of the champion, despite how nonsensical this is. It's pretty much a brand new champion. Your knowledge of the champion as of the latest iteration is as limited as everyone else who hasn't played it.

That being said, it's nice to recognize that this person was a Wariwck main before the new warwick, or with any champion that gets a VGU. I think all mastery points should be removed after a VGU, BUT everyone who reached rank 7 with that champion should get a legacy border for that champion, just like how people who bought a skin for the first time only to see it re-released after going into the vault were given.

If they decide to keep playing the champion and get back to rank 7 with it, that's cool too, because now they have two shiny things on their border
