Feedback on Burning Tides Bilgewater event

Awesome. For the most part, pretty friggin' awesome. The story centered on TF and Graves is the first time we've ever seen a character conflict actually resolved in anyway, opening up lore to be more dynamic instead of just static backstory. Very cool. I also like being able to take my favorite character's side in various arcs of the story event.

Now, a few things I think could have been done better, and could be done better in the future. Choosing a character's side doesn't feel meaningful when the story is predetermined, and is even less meaningful when the story revealed when siding with a character has already been revealed in much greater detail on the website. It doesn't feel rewarding to unlock story that is already revealed. This also had the consequence of influencing me to choose the side of characters based on their portrayal in a story arc. Which doesn't make sense logically for a lore event, because I should be siding with the character I want to find out more about based on the story so far, not the story that is about to be "revealed" in an entirely redundant fashion. It was kind of unsatisfying.

In the future, I think it would be more exciting and involving for the community if you were to have different potential plot twists set aside for each arc leading to a different overall story based on which characters the majority of the community sides with and completes challenges for in each arc. That way it really feels like you are fighting for your side, doing your part to spur your favorite champions to victory.

Also, it would be nice for the character-perspective-specific mini-story players are unlocking to be like Interrim lore, the smaller events and insights between the arcs, so as to remove redundancy and increase player satisfaction with rewards for fulfilling challenges for their character.

Lastly, I noticed that the challenges for this event, and in fact nothing to do with this event in general, in any way encouraged players to actually play the characters involved in the lore event. I think that's something that could be handled differently next time.
