I wish I could write out my thoughts on just how moving this story was for me. I could go on and on but it wouldn't hold a candle to how much I truly love this. Please, please, pretty please tell the writer what an amazing job they did. I just..... wow.
I definitely felt a connection with the guy. The part where he talks about all the bad stuff in his life is really REALLY well written in my opinion, like it's absolutely great how the writer wrote how a person would think in that kind of situation. I also related to the part where he said "and how I hate myself for feeling like I want to cry because I have it so much easier than some other people" - Zaun guy 2017, pity is a horrible emotion, extremely relateable great writing!!
Personally unsure how I feel about new Janna being a spirit, and I'm not sure how I feel about Janna as a whole but am perfectly sure about how great the writing was.
Janna just swoops in and says to this lad "Thing'll be fine, just give it time". That's the entire crux of the story but it's executed exceedingly well. Speaks so much to both the struggles of the everyday folks in Zaun and also just how much of a cultural icon Janna is. She's literally Zaun's guardian angel and the whole time she was present I was smiling.
10/10 would pray to Janna again.
I agree wholeheartedly, this story was fantastically well written, and it truly did move me. I particularly liked how they subtly introduced the main character to be non-heterosexual without making the character's sexuality the entirety of their character. Thank you riot, thank you.
I loved this story so much. Just the heartbreak and the pain and Janna being there to say it'll be okay one day.
Also, love that Janna is a bit of a trickster with the way she took down the baron.
(Also sneaky LGBT reference for the win. I had to double check, but damn was I smiling when I realized I read right.)
It's the only story out of maybe all of the lore in league that really spoke to me. Beautifully written, even if the idea is in itself pretty simple, one we can all relate to.
Guess I just needed someone to tell me that it's going to be okay, like a little tiny hug conveyed in words.
Not gonna lie, I've seen similar stories before, but it gets me every time. Touching revenge stories are #1 satisfier.
