How did Illaoi 'find' Nagakaborous?

Why did Nagakaborous choose them, or how did Illaoi win them over to be their vessel?

Is Nagakaborous as conscious and intelligent as Aurelion Sol and Bard?

She was born on an island where it/she is one most important deities.
Not sure what you mean by this question. them? If you mean Illaoi-- she was raised up to the rank of Truth Bearer by her drive and actions.
Nagakaborous exists somewhere between the Brahman and Tiamat (the god not the D&D dragon). Arguably it is defined by being to great to be understood by mortal minds.

bonus: A.Sol is a higher plane of being than Illaoi --- but he is the beetle calling the ant small. Nagakaborous is all.

Aurelion Sol is more like a wave in the valley, so he understands things a bit better than the drops of water.

Well Illaoi is effectively living proof of Nagakabouros's existence, and Aurelion Sol's encountered her before, but Illaoi certainly doesn't understand her fully, and even Aurelion might not. It depends on what Nagakabouros actually is, though given her scope she's more likely to be a god comparatively to anything else we've seen in the lore.

More than a diety as "we" think they are (ala Greek gods, christian/muslim/jew god, etc.), Nagakaboros seems more a primal form of vital energy that flows into existence while having self awarness and a sort-of-will.

Considering the tentaclish appearance we might think of.. her? it? as a good version of Warcraft Old Gods.

Edit: It better be not canon that Aurelion Sol is just a beetle compared to it though >.> Life forms are born by stars matter so the reaosn Nagakaborous is flowing in the universe is also becuase of Aurelion.

It's really nice that Riot is filling out the pantheon of the world (not necessarily in playable champions)

Aurelion doesn't seem beyond comprehension like Bard and Naga.

Both Nagakaborous and Bard are described as being beyong human understanding. What is their relation in the insect terms you used? c::

Beetles are big when compared to an ant but even compared to a baby human are themselves small. In essence, Naga is so far above Sol that it is a joke that Sol feels like he has a right to look down on Illaoi.

From what we know Nagakaborous is something even greater than Aurelion or Bard.

Aurelion might be an ancient cosmic being and Bard a powerful spirit,but Nagakaborous is a god(unless Illaoi is misinformed),she is everywhere and nowhere at the same time.

I doubt that she chose illaoi,it is more that illaoi learned how to channel a part of the power of nagakaborous to use it against her enemies.

Illaoi is pretty much like the typical priest or cleric from a fantasy game,only that she is really buff and that her god is full of tentacles.

A.Sol taunts Illaoi by saying "You don't understand your god, Illaoi". Though Illaoi herself seems confident in her own understanding. It's very interesting.

Well Illaoi's beliefs are born from the cultural and religious practices of Buhru, so it's effectively the Buhrun interpretation of Nagakabouros. What they understand about the mighty being is relative to how she interacts with Runeterra and how they've come to know her power. I

Actually Riot originally used the name nagakaborous just as a placeholder,but they liked the way Illaois voice actress said that name so much that they kept it anyway.

"The unending monster that drives the sea and sky."
