Next Big Cinematic?

Is it ever coming?

I know they've done the short cinematics for individual champions, but where's the next A New Dawn and A Twist of Fate?

The shorts fail to show the personality of champions when interacting with the other champions of league. They might show the lore of a new champion, but they don't give us an opportunity to see established characters develop in the game world, and skin cinematics don't know a champion's natural lore or behaviours.

I want to see a Shurima battle against the Void. I want to see Ionia fending off Bilgewater pirates or the denizens of the Shadow Isles. These would let you bring out known characters and show them off to the world.

My friends never watch the shorts as they aren't interested enough in the characters being revealed as they don't play LoL. However, two of them started playing LoL after seeing A New Dawn because it created an epic world, showcasing unique champions and their relationships with each other while providing a stimulating mix of drama and visceral action. They had favourites in the cinematic who they rooted for, they laughed at the quick comical moments and enjoyed the fact that they were seeing a story from start to finish that they didn't need to know a background for.

I enjoy these cinematics because I see champions I already know and love being developed further and, hopefully, can anticipate new cincematics and hope to see other champions I love in them.

But it's been a long while now, and I'm now left hoping that Riot hasn't given up on showcasing their biggest asset, their unique heroes.

no point in making one, unless if they ever make a new map in the future then maybe a cinematic as commercial

A Rioter said recently that cinematics should push a story forward and they are open to that as a medium for expression, but it should be a purposeful choice, not just every new champ or lore event gets one. There should be something that a cinematic offers that a comic, story, game, etc. does not accomplish. I think that makes sense. I would rather there be a full-length animated film lol I'm thinking The Avengers, except replace them with League champs.
