from what ive heard you guys have been throwing around ideas for eve for like 2 years now, and for shaco he was scheduled but then got shelved for some reason.
can we expect any news for either one of these two champs VU to come this year? i cant imagine them being a large scale project like poppy/sion or taric. but at the same time i dont expect them to be small scale either, so what would possibly hold them from getting a VU this year?
RiotMeddler7 votesWe did do some exploration into a possible Shaco direction a year or two ago. That was a gameplay only update that didn't hit the mark at the time however, so got put on hold (it was some opportunistic work to see what was possible in some free time, rather than a prioritized project). Evelynn we haven't looked into a major gameplay update for since her rework years ago. I do think we'll need to take a look at how stealth/stealth detection works again sometime in general though (possibly as part of an assassin class update at some point).
As far as VUs go I'd expect both to be pretty sizeable projects given the age of their current models/anims/VFX etc. Taric's our current priority, and Yorick's the likely full relaunch after that. After that it gets less certain. There's some argument for Shaco or Eve certainly, some other champs we'd really like to tackle too though (Urgot and Warwick for example).

Do you really need to do the Evelynn change again? every single new iteration of her breaks her game for almost a full year... couldn't you just leave it at a Visual Update and that's it?
I am a long time Evelynn player and I would not like to see her go through the harrowing process again.

but are both shaco and eve the same scope and size as urgot, ww, taric, poppy, or sion? i mean i certainly wont complain if they get the same quality of an update, i just didnt think it would have been of that scale as those champs. but at the same time if they are of that scope/size and urgot/ww/yorick are all before shaco and eve then it looks like it will be a very very long time before anything gets done on them... id hope for at least splash art updates to eve's base and especially for her skins.
GreenLore1 votesI'd say that Eve is definetly on the same scale as Sion/Poppy and so on. They already discussed here on the boards that Eves thematic is lacking(she is currently a blue stripper with invisibility powers),so its safe to say that her character will be changed quite a bit. Then there is the fact that Eves kit seems to bit all over the place. She is an assassin and her P and W match that quite well,but her Q does damage over time and her R is best used to engage a fight,so they are abilities that would make more sense on a tank.
Then there is the fact that her Q and R scale mainly with Ap,but her E actually profits the most if she is built AD,so no matter what you built,you'll always feel like one of your abilities isn't as useful as it could be.
