My one complain with new Urgot

He isn't bloody enough. When he ults you it should spew out blood like how it is when Darius dunks someone.

Other than that 10/10 rework can't wait for it to pop up on the pbe.

He was bloodier in development, but had to be toned down cuz game ratings.

They need to make this game rated M already. They already have characters who swear constantly and Darius ultimate which makes blood fly everywhere. Idk why they couldn't get away with giving him similar particles to Dari R.

Out of curiosity was he ever more disgusting in development?

Like original Urgot has flabby skin stretched over a frame, obvious scars, tubes that are poking out of flesh.

New Urgot is just a big guy in a machine body.

Concept artists are encouraged to just go ham with ideas, so a lot of Urgot's concept work made him far more machine, and this is from concepts that went back all the way to 2014. Lots more machinery, far less skin showing. Effectively many concepts made him to be a death machine, but when the finally sat down to do the rework and focused on what his core champion pillars would they moved away from that and towards something more human. I still remember an old concept for his current ult where it was Urgot where only his eyes and forehead were really showing, and the rest of him was a horror show of buzzsaws, claws and grinders dragging Caitlyn to her demise. It was metal as fuck.

It was also inferred a lot from the groundwork laid for Zaun with Warwick and the Zaun update. I don't specifically know why they moved away from him being scarred and effectively a frakenstein's monster fellow, but if I had to guess it was to differentiate him from Sion in some ways.

Eh, he already was different. Sion was designed to look like a badass undead warrior, Urgot to look like a disgusting freak.

Well, thank you for answering my question. But this just puts another rework design where they went the exact opposite direction I wanted to see the character go. Which makes... well, all the reworks since Sion, I guess.

They took the only body-horror champion in League and made him Bane with spider-legs. Cool spider legs, sure, but the part I was interested in was the body-horror.

Ahh well. At least now the wait is over, and I can see what they do to Pantheon. How much money you want to bet I won't be happy with that one?
