So it's been 1281 days now since Cass received a skin.

Besides Yorick and Urgot (the biggest candidates for a relaunch), the only other champions who've been waiting this long for a new skin to come out are Swain and Shen.

The ninja already received a complete VU for all of his skins during his last update and Swain supposedly is up for a complete relaunch. That leaves Cass as the one and only champion who's actually waiting for a new skin to come out.

What reason could there be that she hasn't seen any love these past months since her last rework happened? It didn't even affect her visuals, it actually downgraded them (no custom-particles anymore) while she's still stuck with animations and a basemodel from 2010.

The only thing she received back in 2014 was a texture-update and a new voiceover, beyond that she remained simply incomplete. Heck, even her lore-entry was reduced to 3-4 lines of text and never touched again.

Could there be a VU or relaunch in the works for her? Or how else would you explain this complete lack of skins and lore related updates for her?

AW HELL NO. The Shen visual update was left half finished.

So yeh Cassio might need a skin, but so does Shen. He also needs to be looked at and fixed. Please raise awareness for our Lord and Saviour, the Master Ninja Shen.

He's gonna be seen in every game at worlds, and he wont have an animation for his w and will always look like a chained dog with his passive. Cmon guys, lets show some love for Shen. Maybe they'll step in and finish what they started.

I agree, the visual update for Shen missed the mark when it comes to the fantasy of controlling an actual ninja - especially that spirit blade looks absolutely silly and unnecessary. However his update was of a far greater scale than Cassiopeia's since he received entirely new animations (have you seen how he walks? he isn't a crab anymore!), a new model, an update on ALL of his skins aswell as new splasharts for everything.

His update is on the same level as Ryze's when it comes to the number of visual changes he received (he still could use a new VO, though). Meanwhile Cassiopeia received a mere texture update and one new splashart for her classic skin back in 2014, that was it. If you want to set some priorities, you'd have to place Cassiopeia at the very top.

I was so disappointed to see Shen's ult VFX unchanged with his rework -- it really should have been updated to match his splash's melty vanishing effect. Also, no recall animation :(

Regardless, I do think it's time Cassiopeia got a skin. It's been so long.

Actually, the waiting list for the top six in order is:

Yorick - Jun '11 Poppy - Feb '12 Urgot - Mar '12 Swain - May '12 Cassiopeia - Feb '13 Shen - May '13

Please check out my post again, I already mentioned those champions. They're either in the queue for an upcoming relaunch or they already received a major VU which affected the rest of her skins. Cassiopeia is pretty much the only remaining champion without a good reason why she's not getting any skins.

Viktor should be in that list too, I can't find those posts with exact dates of skin releases. He got his first and only post-release skin back at the end of 2013.

Edit: And yes, Cass really deserves a new skin as well.

Yea, Viktor is #7 from Oct '13. I was just ordering the list about Cassiopeia and the champions mentioned by the OP (hence the exclusion).

I did read your post. That's why I listed Poppy (not mentioned in your post) and correctly placed Shen after Cassiopeia.

I have my suspicions that Cassiopeia has a 1350 skin in the works for either the Harrowing or Snowdown events.

Cassiopeia received as much of a VU as Shen did. Both didn't change the model at all, just slapped new textures on it.

Those are the months of when the champion last received a skin.

The dates when the champion received their last skins. Yorick received his last(and first) skin in june 2011,Urgot received his last skin in march 2012,etc.

As a Kennen main who waited for nearly 4 years for a new skin, I can sympathize with this.

At least Cass got her update out of the way. Hopefully she, Shen and others receive a new skin full of great animations and particles real soon!

Poppy already received an amazing VU which updated all of her skins so she can wait a little bit longer. I absolutely cannot say the same about Cassiopeia.

Well she was part of the mage rework,so the skin team likely avoided making a skin for her until her rework came out(and it was sure that they don't need to rework her again) and if they work on a more complex skin,then it likely can take a few months to get that skin finished.(especially if there are problems during development,Moon princess Diana was at one point pretty much scrapped and completely rebuilt during its development)

Strangely the rework didn't even change anything about her animations, there was no reason to abandon work on a potential skin during that period of time. And despite this they weren't able to create a single new skin for her.

The rework did change her spell animation for her W and removed the passive-effect around her body(before there were these snakes that appeared on her body when she was high stacked). In the end they couldn't know if she'd get completely new effects or not,so they likely avoided her until the rework was out for sure.

Sorry, you lost me there. You're right. Swain is up for a relaunch. But saying that he's not waiting for a skin is complete nonsense with a promise from Riot three years ago that a certain skin would be made.

Make Noxus great again.

Give us Dragon Master Swain.

That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if Riot's planning on doing a Noxus lore event with Swain's rework rolling out, including Cass.
