i play the game to pass time. ive played for 4 years to the point that im very good at it. i play the game because theres a 1/6 chance i laugh and actually have a good time.

Just don't purchase so many mystery crates. They DO do stuff, (Hextech Annie not included) that's good, and can be overlooked by the cons. But seriously, the Hextech Annie and soulstealer Vayne are evil.....

ive never used money on crates. i get keys on the usual if i play enough and i dont like things that revolve around luck. (crates/ranked solo queue)

And people cursed hextech as "another way for Riot to get money". Jokes on them.

Also I don't know why people would be mad that Riot makes new ways to get people to spend money, they are a for profit company providing a free to play game, and it's not even pay to win too boot!

Yeah. Totaling the skins that I unlocked from the Hexcrafting system, I got about $50 worth so far, and that doesn't count the Hextech Annie skin, which you can't directly buy, and I lucked out and found in a fucking BOX. I don't care much for buying skins otherwise, but I won't turn down the ones I like.

That's $50+ that Riot won't be getting, and if ten thousand players did the same thing I'm doing, that adds up to half a million dollars. Half a million dollars Riot just lost in half a year with a very tiny fraction of their player base, and I didn't even need to go out of my way to get these rewards (aside from play a lot more champions more frequently).

But... people don't do that. They spend gobs of money on the crafting system just as they had on the regular skins, and then have the gall to turn around and accuse Riot of making a corrupt money making scheme. There's absolutely no reason to buy skins, but Riot makes bank off of this, so they're clearly making something worth buying, or the players are just that stupid and are compelled to dump bundles of money on the game because the option's there. (or they buy skins as a "donation" to Riot so Riot stays in business, but that has logic behind it)
