Look at this picture. Now imagine him saying stuff like this:

"Come closer.... don't be afraid." "I can make your heart race.... or stop it!" "Mmmh, yes, why don't we turn the lights off?" "Is this the first time?"

Now imagine that in a videogame.

You play as that guy. Looking like that. Striking up poses like that. And speaking like that.

Would you be embarassed playing that game around others? Would that make you a little unconfortable? Would you think it's stupid and targeted only to horny young girls?

Yes.

And that's exactly what Evelynn is. But somehow, when it's a female character, it's alright. It's no longer cringey or unconfortable or dumb.

You are kinda right, but It is more of a problem of society than Riot.

People think oversexualizing females is more tolerable than oversexualizing males because oversexualized young men are usually seen feminine and gay, which something other hated and seen wrong. They see in that way because oversexualizing is more related with females and having sexy males and looking at them is seen gay.

I would blame society for it, not Riot.

I dont think Riot done anything wrong there.

Lastly, if it is going to make you feel better, Taric has a few innuendos.

Yes.

The problem with this argument is that many actually won't but you assume we would.

As a straight male, I actually wouldn't mind to have a "male" version of Evelyn in the game... I would even find it funny.

I mean, if Evelyn was REALLY a boy, and the op were a boy as well, complaining about the character because he feels embarassed... People would jump towards the thread and attack him for being intolerant. But somehow, when it's a female, it's alright.

I wouldn't care.

Btw, if you don't like her VO, you can go into your setting and mute it whenever you play Evelynn.
