Yea But When Are We Going to See New Lore that Isn't Attached to a Champion Release

Lore is almost always connected to a champ release. The only circumstances I can remember when it wasn't are:

-JoJ -Ryze's Judgement -Major Reworks (Sion, which might have well have well been a new release due to the scope of it) -The Freljord and Shurima events. -The Black Mists Stuff -Urf's "Release" (I guess maybe the Spirit Guard Udyr thing? Although whether or not that's canon is pretty shaky)

If I missed something, feel free to correct me, but it's pretty much always related to the upcoming champion. I think that's why a lot of Lore fans are disappointed when we get or someone like that, who doesn't connect to the rest of the world at all. CarnivalKnights mentioned in a post a month or so ago that they plan to work more with progressing older champion lore in the future, but with the Lore as shaky as it is at the moment, it could be a while.

Tech Issues don't take this long.

I'm sorry, their bullshitting, because you can easily post the long lore as a temporary solution until you fix it.

They're actually not done with those lores. This isn't even a frenzied, paranoid guessing or anything, a Rioter has stated that they have not finished the longer form lores for all of those champs.

The OP is only a symptom of a bigger issue- that Riot appears to have an allergy to concluding, or indeed even following up on, story beginnings that they set up with stuff like the Freljord event and every champ release.

just got his long-form lore put on PBE yesterday, and that's not tied to any champion releases (since Rek'sai is already out).

RIP LoL lores. First shurima, now I find out the shadow isles...come on, these new lores suck. All you did was take out the joy found in reading them. Part of the joy of playing Thresh is reading his twisted lore. Gone! Please, you said you'd fix these Riot. No need for these changes, none at all...

Amumu is getting new extended lore.

It seems that they are waiting for the season to kick off to even TELLus whats being coked up. Actaully i am sure of it.....
