Games as a Method of Storytelling?

We all know that Riot Lore team is looking for "alternative" ways to deliver lore than just throw text into our faces - not sure why, for I personally like to read, but ok, let's just go with it. When replying to another thread of mine I just had an awesome idea: how about minigames to tell lore?

Imagine a 2D coop-sidescroller jump&shoot with Lucian and Senna (who will die after the end boss, Tresh, seems to be defeated). All in a lovely retro arcade style. Not only would this be a great tool to expand on the purifiers lore, it would also allow is to discover the shaodw iseles more. The dialoge in between characters would be also good to get information that would be usually just boring to simply put into a text.

Or, make one of those horror games where you can only run and hide, but the player gets to play Shauna Vayne during her childhood, trying to escape from the witch and her terrors summoned by black magic (last part would be new to lore ^^).

Another possibility could be an arcade game like 1942, but with rumble's mech ^^

Sure, those wouldn't be long and a lot more difficult to produce than just writing a text - but it's actually something Riot could pull off I think. At least the arcade-style games. Make official high-scores, make an endless mode that never ends but gets super hard until you can't beat it... Or what ideas do you folks have for such games? What champions would be fitting for something like that? And how would you do it?

I'm curious to read the replies ^^

Putting the "s" in Riot GameS I see. Making a separate (mini)game dedicated to lore & narrative is not a bad idea.My question lies with Riot's willingness to consider the idea & how much effort they would put into it.
