Idea for Future Mid-Seasons

I think it is a neat idea for a big story event, similar to the Bilgewater one from two years ago, to take the place of the mid-season update! As I see it, the class reworks can sometimes be divisive, and if you're someone who doesn't play any of the champions getting changes, then mid-season/pre-season can wind up feeling like they are just any other patch with a few more changes than normal. Not sure how everyone else would feel about this, but I for one feel like it would breathe a lot more positivity into the community. :)

I would love to have story events every midseason! But I don't want to have it at the expense of not having class updates.

Maybe they could do class updates for pre-season still and have story events for mid-season! Pre-season follows up the Worlds tournament and of course comes at the start of the season which is why that time makes the most sens for radical gameplay changes. Mid-season on the other hand occurs at the start of summer, so having an event that is a little more about having fun and less gameplay focus might make more sense here. Though to be honest, I'm not even sure it would be the same team of developers that works on class reworks that would also work on a story event such as this...

It wouldn't really effect each other as you say because it is completely different teams. I Think the story team shouldn't make lore updates a scedueled thing because that would only have a bad effect on the quality. They shouldn't rush it, they should wait with releasing it until they have done something that they feel is complete. Also they should not wait with releasing something when they are done just to have it in the summer instead of april or something. But the more story events the marryer :D
