My first ever forum post was about how pissed I was that they took the loveable cursed troll from the swamp and changed him into a moronic ice troll with no defining characteristics the stereotypical captain of your football team wouldn't have seemingly for the sole purpose of giving Lissandra someone on her team for the Frejlord event.
But for real though, change Trundle back. Every time I play him I use the Traditional skin and make a joke about how it's a shame there are no skins for Trundle, I can't use his other skins because the Traditional voice is infinitely better than the new voice.
Ah back when everything used to look like a potato and no one complained.

Meanwhile Ice Troll trundle hasn't had any goddamn development since that change. Some stellar work there RIOT.
It's funny because ever since Trundle's update (back in 2013 iirc) there's been no further updates on him or really the War of Three Sisters in general.
I'm not disliking Trundle's retcon, but he was retconned... why again? So he could join some arbitrary faction in Freljord and take no further story role for years?

Yeah I've drawn the same comparison too.
But Trundle lore rework is actually better than Varus's, because at the very least, Trundle didn't lose his own name to his weapon.

As a new player, I only know Ice tTrundle. I was browsing skins and was like, yuck Traditional Trundle looks bad, but now I feel bad.
ah yes how they changed a cool and funny looking troll into a steroid using buffed up 6 pack ripped troll for....some reason I suppose, he's just so generic looking now

Oh my gosh, that lore was amazing. It was like Deadpool and Jesus combined themselves into one amazing champion called Trundle.
Yeah, old Trundle was definitely the more interesting and unique character. And I always had a soft spot for grotesques.
