Some theories about Evelynn.

So with Evelynn's rework coming after Urgot's, I got to thinking about her lore. We know she's associated with the Shadow Isles but nothing else. So I came up with two theories about her origins.

Theory 1: A Prisoner Set Free Remember in Thresh's bio, that mage who was brought into his vault wrapped in chains? Well what if that guy wasn't the only person kept there? Maybe Evelynn was brought in at a later date or had been there the whole time, only trapped inside some magical object (like a genie in lamp); and when the Ruination occurred, her prison was destroyed and she was set free.

Theory 2: The Black Myst The recent leak that has described Xayah, Rakan, some of the latest skins and some reworks has also given me an idea to Evelynn's potential origins. The leak describes her as having clothes made from living shadows. The first thing this makes me think of is Yorick with his cape of black mist. So if it is at all similar to that, is Evelynn directly related to the black mist? Is she someone like Yorick who hasn't given into it but has still gained power? Or has she learned to control the mist?

Nope. We don't even know that for certain. She is rumoured to be from the Shadow Isles, and that is all.

What if she has a very deep connection to the Mist, as she and Yorick are the only ones that 'wear it' in a sense, and Yorick only does in an effort to keep it from consuming it. But, if Evelynn isn't just some woman who was completely consumed by the Mist, what if she's the one that...controls it?

Maybe the one who set the whole Shadow Isles in motion in the first place?

Perhaps, the wife of a special King we've heard so much about in the Isles?

Frankly I'd be happiest if they didn't fill it in. Perhaps cast a little doubt on the shadow isles stuff but not reject it fully. It's a rumor and nothing else, leave it at that. I think she works best as the "we don't know who this is" character and it fits her gameplay themes.

Also, as much as people hate her current outfit but the living shadow clothing is stupid and sounds like riot ripped off bayonetta. Except instead of hair, it's shadows.

"The widow maker" maybe she will be some fem-phatal elf that learned how to use the black mist to gain more power.
