Perhaps riots intention with retconning old lore was for the purposes of making new champs then reintroducing the old lore once they figure out how itll all fit together?

That doesn't change the fact that the destroyed our connection to the narrative and world by removing the Summoners and Institute of War. We're playing Super Smash Legends now, which is why a lot of us are complaining.

But in our minds the summoners and institute of war still "exist" what if they are just trying to figure out how to balance all these champions together...? and place them in the institute and such, because honestly if they dont bring it back Fiddlesticks lore is pointless

They're not. The biggest thing about the Great Retcon is that they're not bringing back the IoW in Runeterra. Fiddle's lore is getting rewritten to remove all the references to the Institute and Summoners, same for Noct, Alistar, Amumu, Ahri, Nami, Lee Sin, and anyone else that still has them mentioned.

That's cause Riot is -stupidly- slow when it comes to updating champion info.

Case in point, Singed's Lore still says he was a chemist working under Warwick. Warwick's lore was rewritten more than 2 years ago. He's now never been a chemist from Zaun. Riot has yet to fix Singed's stuff though, cause that'd be too much work.

I'd appreciate it if you, you know.... actually stopped and looked at any number of threads and posts on this topic here in Story and Art. It's OBVIOUS you're new to this debate. Also, reading comprehension....

The only team slower than Riot's Lore/Narrative team is the one that took years to get to us about east coast servers/connection, but that's fine cause that team is the best ever.

What I dont get is riot retconned is sure, but with everyones complaining how come NOBODY has un retconned it.. or for lack of a better name

brought it back, as a "fanfic" and made "fanfic" stories for all the new champions, everyone complains yet they act as if there is only ONE TEAM/ PERSON on this earth capable of writing a storyline, or they are the types of people that say "hurr if riot doesnt write it It isnt true so i cant enjoy it hurrr" EVEN though its all fictional and in theory anyone could write fanfics about it....

Once more, I ask that you peruse almost any of the other threads around here. Again, it's obvious you're new to the discussion, otherwise you would have seen any number of talks about http://leaguefactions.net/ .

Riot's Lore/Narrative team is purrsonally dead to me. I haven't even bothered looking at that Amumu thing from a week or two ago.

We're still waiting on the Singed changes. We're still waiting on updates to Jax, Nocturne, Fiddlesticks, Cho'Gath (who was specifically mentioned MULTIPLE times by the team as being a reason for the retcon, so they could make "truly epic" stories for the larger than life champions). In fact, almost the entire roster has yet to be updated to work with the Great Retcon.

A lot of people around here just follow the Factions stuff, being that it is a much more -engaging- narrative. Because guess what, we the Summoners actually matter in it.
