Perhaps riots intention with retconning old lore was for the purposes of making new champs then reintroducing the old lore once they figure out how itll all fit together?

That doesn't change the fact that the destroyed our connection to the narrative and world by removing the Summoners and Institute of War. We're playing Super Smash Legends now, which is why a lot of us are complaining.
