Why isn't there an in-game preview section for skins?

This is something that has kinda bothered me for a while now, but I kinda wish Riot would implement a preview of a champion's skin in the client. I'm not talking about the splash art, I mean the in-game models.

Something in the skins tab where if you select a champion's skin and it blows up the full splash art there's a little section at the left that plays a small round turning view of the skin in game, maybe even show off the different effects it has if it's a higher tier skin like recall, abilities, etc.

It's just a bit annoying to me to see an awesome splash art for a skin, only to be disappointed by it in-game or not even know how it looks/acts in-game without having to go to Youtube or Surr@20.

Just my opinion.

I mean they could but there are so many ways to view the in-game models they its not worth the effort. I would suggest looking at the SkinSpotlights channel on YouTube. It shows all skin in-game models and effects as well as any specific interactions or quates they may have.

To be perfectly honest, I think they do it on purpose to get the occasional splash-buy. I mean they have openly said that having a good splash art is an important factor when people are deciding to buy skins, and that there are people who buy them from art alone. I've even caught myself more than once going to buy a skin without actually looking at it bc of the splash. I am sure there are less savvy gamers who just buy the skin when they see a splash that gets em good enough.

That being said, if that is a thing that does in fact get ppl to impulse buy RP than they are not going to do anything that might stop that any time soon. I wouldn't expect that sorta feature until skinspotlights/ surender@20 becomes more commonly known and used throughout the league player-base.

Because some skins look way better in splash arts than in-game, and all of the time they are lackluster to the splash art...in a sense its false advertisement if I didnt have the chance to see the PBE models from other fan-made sites.
