Amumu's new long lore/story is very good BUT...

It doesn't tell us much about Amumu that we didn't already know. It also doesn't answer the questions we had about Amumu before the lore retcon (which promised more in-depth stories, discussion and explanation about champion's background and lore):

-How did he die? and how did he get revived? -Since he is royalty, does he have any relation with Azir? -Is he a yordle or a human boy? (Which I guess by the way they wrote it, they want to keep it a mystery)

Well things that are actually new: 1.We know amumu was actually royalty and that he was a prince 2.We know now how amumus curse manifests in universe(and why it is so hard for him to find friends) 3.We know that his people celebrated his death for whatever reason

Also the lore hints in my opinion more into the direction that amumu is a boy,not a yordle,with the yordle thing being a rumor,while the story teller(who actually encountered amumu and saw these paintings) says he is a boy.

Overall it at least sets up some of the mystery on purpose,while we can't be sure when we'll get our answers it is appearant that there will be answers,unlike before where it was basically "he is an undead mummy,because mystery"

Basically sums up Rito and lore. Wonder why everything have to be guesswork?

Amumu as a "boy prince" sounds like a strangely neat idea.

I guess he will be a human boy from now, since he never had anything suggesting that he was a yordle besides his size and lore. If they really wanted a yordle mummy he would have ears.

Why do you need to be told every single little detail about a character to enjoy their story and background? Do you only enjoy reading omniscient narration or something?

I think that the kid saying that Amumu is yordle was a joke about the whole "Amumu- Human boy or Yordle" thing, and that he's a human boy. I also remember rioters saying that when they'll update Amumu they'll probably go for the "human child" direction, rather than the yordle direction.

Maybe some of the resurrecting water that Azir used for Sivir leaked and seeped through into Amumu's catacomb? (Not likely xD)
