Shurima is a desert the size of a country. It can have multiple ethnic groups.

well sivir technically is royal blood, and families with high social status are usually picky with marriages that are partially based on looks alongside status and wealth among other things... so yeah it's very possible the difference could be Sivir is heavily influenced by genes from possibly many generations of selective marriages that have an impact on her looks whereas Taliyah AFAIK is a possible regular Shurima common citizen with regular commoner parents and she just happens to have affinity for earthen based magic

I wonder what happened to the royal family of shurima between azir and sivir, because she is a mercenary which probably has a lower social status in the society of noxus. is the royal blood mixed with noxian blood?

hmmm idk, though I myself have been wondering exactly how sivir exists in the first place since supposedly shurima got set up the bomb when that ritual happened. In another thread someone mentioned that Azir and the entire shurima population died during the botched ritual. they never mention anything about Azir's wife or multiple possible wives since emperor and all, but I imagine that Whoever was going to be the mother that eventually became the ancestor of sivir was not in the vicinity during the events and therefore managed to not get caught up in it and lived. after that though due to no more kingdom of shurima and no more royal family, I imagine she and her descendants mixed with the common folk and learning their own trades to survive and eventually sivir comes along and she does her mercenary thing with her magic key-boomerang-thing

I mean I think so, ex. There are brown pinoys and white pinoys but they are still both pinoy. White pinoys were either mixed from spanish spain or never went outside. Sivir is shuriman still but maybe the ingame model and splash art are different. She should be brown like Taliyah if she isn't already.

They look pretty similar. If you put them beside each other, they have similar skin tones and such. Note that Taliyah is a lot younger. Sivir

Taliyah's skin is a bit darker, maybe cuz she is in the dessert more than sivir. but sivir has blue eyes and black hair while taliyah has black eyes and brown hair.

That doesn't mean they can't still hail from the same origins. Heck, I have cousins with blue eyes and blond hair. I look like a stereotypical Filipino (dark skin, islander nose, dark brown eyes). If anything, you should expect a fair bit of variance in the bloodlines. There's no reason to expect that every Zaunite would look like Ekko or every Noxian would look like Darius.

Sivir has royal blood... and she has a lot of money! while Taliyah has been traveling through the world since early age so she has no clue what tweezers are or anything, she's also not worried about how she looks but what she can and cannot do with her powers.

You are aware that Sivir will be getting new splash arts to replace all those that were changed with the "unification". When I look at Victorious Sivir, I noticed a facial struture that was not nearly as slender as her default splash.

When the design team gets to Sivir's artwork, I anticipate a slight change in her appearance to mark her differently than the other cultures of Runeterra.
