Riot, what's your general direction for Ryze?

So Ryze is next on the update schedule, and he's slated to be a Gangplank level rework with a complete visual update, so I'm guessing maybe a skill and/or passive replacement, but he'll generally run the same as he always has. I just wanted to ask you guys what kind of direction you intended to go with him, what your likes and dislikes are about his current kit, and what needs changing?
