Vayne and Evelynn

Alright, let's just bring this up for the sake of getting it out of the way and off the table of discussion.

In Reav3's recent post "Champion Roadmap: July 2017", he discussed briefly Evelynn's new lore. It mentions that another champion has lost her parents at Evelynn's hands after they "embraced the lashes of agony". The female champion that we know to have lost her parents in such a violent way is none other than Shauna Vayne herself. Vayne came home one day to find her parents brutally murdered, and the murderer, described as "An unspeakably beautiful, horned woman", standing above their corpses. The woman, referred to often as a "demon" from then on, then "looked down at the young girl and flashed her a terrible, lustful smile" before "disappearing". Now unless everybody's favorite Banana-slinging unicorn has gone psycho, I think it's safe to say that no other champion currently in League fits this description. Therefore, it's only fair to assume that this woman is indeed Evelynn. Later on, it is revealed that she has amassed a cult following that is "designed to attract worshippers who would do her bidding", which involves giving her "sacrificial offerings".

With all of this knowledge in tow, I've been able to create a very loose psychological profile of Evelynn. She is incredibly full of herself, and has exhibited tendencies befitting something far, far, beyond the bounds of what one would call a dominatrix (though it's the only thing I can compare her thematic to), to the point of relishing murder as some sort of psycho-sexual high. Perhaps she has some sort of power to induce sadomasochistic tendencies in her victims, trapping them in her web, so to speak, and allowing her to have her way with them.

Speaking of webs, perhaps she is like Elise; traveling all over Valoran instead of being tied to the Shadow Isles so that they may amass the power of the living. However, unlike Elise she does not see herself as a prophet or conduit to some higher power, rather in her mind she is the goddess herself. This is not to say that Elise sees Vilemaw as a god, rather than a source of power that needs to be satiated, but that's a whole different discussion.

I digress; Evelynn is still very much wrapped in mystery (quite befitting of a character who uses the shadows), so this is all just speculation. I implore you to put your thoughts in the comment section bellow.

As a side note, I would like to point out exactly what I meant by "having her way with them" to dissuade all you pervs out there. You know who you are -_-

What I mean is that you shouldn't be fooled into thinking you're just in for some rough sex; this is real torture that will only end when you die. Though I suppose that's not entirely true, considering that she has a cult following. Perhaps she figured that it was better to have servants to help her get more to fill her insatiable appetite then to get less than she could potentially have by working alone. I'm sorry, what was i saying? I get caught up in my theories; they just branch off left and right. It's like I'm at a dessert buffet and I tell myself "only one" but then, right next to the one I want, I see something that entices me and it happens over and over until I have one of everything on my plate. Now, what was I getting at...? Oh right!
