I'm surprised that no one else has commented about Ashe getting a second legendary.

At least for the moment. As cool as a skin as it is, and that it also includes a VO update for Ashe, I'm not that big a fan that anyone would get a second legendary skin.

Edit: Since I'm noticing a trend forming in the comments already, the old ass 'Legendary' skins don't count. They do not hold up to the standards we hold from today, and to limit a champions chances for an actual Legendary because they were shit out of luck to exist during a time of lesser production is understandably stupid.

Project Ashe is comparable to every other Legendary Skin that Riot has released in the past 3 years. There is a clear difference between the Legendaries of old, and up to date ones.

Ashe is far from the first:

Cho'Gath has two Legendary skins (and a Hextech skin).
Tristana has two Legendary skins.
Darius has two Legendary skins (and a Hextech skin).
Leona has two Legendary skins.
Ezreal has a Legendary and an Ultimate skin.
Kog'Maw has a Legendary skin (and a Hextech skin).
Annie has a Legendary skin (and a Hextech skin).

cuz as much as these boards cry favouritism they also excel at playing favourites.

It don't matter wether the champ actually gets an amount of skins relative to how old they are, it's wether the boards like em.

Was anyone talking about jhin getting 3 skins in a year? no. and then later when he got a legendary over a champ that had been waiting for 4 years? nope cuz they like jhin and dislike shaco. and i do feel bad for bringing up jhin in this context again but he's easily one of the most obviously benefitting from a positive boards bias.

Noone here has an issue with ashe because she's just ashe, like nothing about her feels horrible to play against aside from being duo with leo. and she's also not on "the favourites list" riot supposedly has.

all in all she's in a perfect spot to fly under the radar.

and i'd def say dunkmaster still holds up just fine.

Yeah well its understandable if her previous legendary was not modern (like gentleman cho) but considering it is, its annoying that she got yet another one. Hecarim deserves that legendary and would have looked so cool.

She's not really the first though to have a second modern legendary. Darius got his last year with God King (previous being Dunkmaster in 2014), so it's not too surprising they give them to champs that have fairly recent ones.

Could it be seen as unfair? Yeah, but they do focus a lot into what sells. So if they make an upper tier skin it will almost always be for the big sellers. There are a few recent ones like Heimer that do break that mold though.

Well now Ashe has 11 alternate skins, Ezreal (Rito's skin favorite) has SSG TPA and Pajama putting him at 13, the 3 of which (more or less) aren't original skins. All of Ashes are original and she has 11 now. Even Lux WITH Prestige + Pajama only has 11 alternate skins.

I thought her past 2 skins -Championship & Cosmic Queen- were both pretty high quality skins, so I really don't see why she needed another legendary. Should've been Zilean or someone else getting the legendary.

I can't say I'm surprised she's the first champion to get ANOTHER legendary that's up to today's standards. Ashe the champion was named and designed after Marc's (aka Riot Tryndamere's) wife Ashley (aka "Ashe"). He probably did this for no other lame ass reason than he wanted to do something for his wife for League's 10th anniversary, tbh. I can't think of any other reason. I mean, COME ON. Is Ashe REALLY the first champion you think of that... A. Needs a legendary (when she already has one that's up to today's standard's at that...)? OR... B. That fits the High Noon aesthetic? Hell. No. SO many other champions come to mind.

Bro....I 1000% can garunty project ashe feels more cooler. Only if riot make that after ulting high noon ashe permanently keeps the ascended form, then i can say project and high noon ashe is even. Cause now when u return to base...your form reverts back to normal for high noon ashe. Project ashe's dance maybe bad but her particles and running animation is probably the best in leauge of legends.

I disagree with this. I think Riot should do way more Legendaries because they have so much more value over just a 1350 skin. New voice lines and big themes are great, especially for champions who already have lots of skins.
