Login Screen Intros - A PERFECT (and currently unexploited) opportunity to develop each character
So one of the cool things about Riot is that they've experimented quite a bit, trying different mediums, there was the Jinx music video, the Udyr comic, Rek'sai had an animated video, Bard had a little website thing, etc.. And you'll never know if you don't experiment. But for me, the comic, the music videos, none of that is remotely close to the badassness that was the Lucian login intro.

The voice acting, with the animation, coupled with amazing music (sht they brought in The Crystal Method for that track), it added so much depth to the character. All of a sudden, this is no longer the teased high mobility adc that was promised long ago, that supposedly had some kind of connection to Thresh, nope. NOW it's the mofo exorcist demon hunter adc whose personality has become completely warped in his unending quest to enact vengeance on a whole legion of ghouls/demons when we previously didn't know that existed, that Thresh isn't the only one of his kind. So in this universe of Runeterra we have the Yordles over on Bandle City all happy and playing tail touch and in this same universe it turns out that there's this whole war between exorcists and demons. Badass. Also that connection with an existing character makes him instantly relevant (instead of me feeling like Riot just randomly added a new champion to their universe to - a simple afterthought, it feels like I'm discovering a preexisting character who has always been part of the storyline - just that we hadn't been told about it). And all of this is achieved INSIDE the game, without me having to click on an external link and leaving the game. For me this was an example of lore done right.
Lately the last couple of character login screens have been really really lackluster (in comparison to things like Spirit Guard Udyr or Lucian). Azir, Gnar, Rek'Sai, they just moved around, the usual. Completely missed opportunities to tell us "hey this is the new hero, these are his/her motives, this is why you should care."
Right now the Lore and storytelling feels flat, and I think that incorporating more storytelling to the logins would be a good step in the right direction.
