Why didn't Darius get a similar arc to the one Garen got in the LUX comic?

This is your one and only spoiler warning for the LUX comics and the DARIUS comic

So in the Lux comic we see Garen do a 180 and release Lux and the mages, despite being ordered to track down and bring the mages to justice. He even goes so far as to lie to Jarvan about it afterwards, because he understands where Lux is coming from and that there is a messy line that blurs the definition of Demacian Justice as opposed to true justice.

Here we see MAJOR character development, because as far as we knew, prior to this Garen was a mage hating Demacian solider of high ranking who is a friend of the prince, and leader of a skilled squad of elites. Instead we see that Garen is pragmatic, and is able to see reason and disregard the superstitions of Demacian traditions and his direct orders.

Then we have Darius, who in every way is a mirror to Garen. They both have faith in their cause, they both are caring and protective of their family, Garen is younger and Darius is older and has been through a lot, they're both skilled combatants, they're the ideal warrior of each of their respective homelands. However instead of having any progression or development occur we have Darius lose Quill and then.... nothing? https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DVtQqBfU8AA2G5l.jpg

We know he ventures into the Freljord, but Noxus was already doing that I'm pretty sure, and instead of questioning why Quill had to die, or turning into Lucian and trying to find a way to get his love back (from the dead of course, because grief makes people do crazy things), or dunking his daughter(?) on the spot in a fit of rage, or doing anything really, we see him be sad, and then go do more of what he would've already probably been doing.

Mind you this isn't me coming from a place of 'I hate riots writing' this is me coming from the place of someone who has grown to love the champions of the past years and want to read or see their stories unfold, but Noxus really seems to be going really slowly compared to Demacia. Sure you could say that Sylas was the inciting action for most of the change within Demacia, but we have MAJOR players at work in Noxus that we haven't heard of in a long time. Is Talon looking for his adoptive father still for example?

I'm really just disappointed more and more as characters are fleshed out in Noxus, such as Draven most recently, that Darius has kinda grinded to a halt.

Hopefully we'll see what the hand of Noxus is up to one day and learn of his thoughts after the death of Quill.

edit: for the people who don't understand this simple thing, 'just because I issue a spoiler warning for the comics doesn't mean I'm solely comparing the comics, as Darius has had more stories following his 1 comic, and those stories didn't develop his character from the groundwork that the comic set up'. Hopefully that clears up the confusion of people who think 'well LUX had 3 issues'

You are comparing 3 comics vs 1 short comic.

The REASON of why Lux and Garen got 3 comics that developed their stories is BECAUSE they noticed that 1 comic was not enough.

I'll take another Darius story but he's never going to dunk his own daughter lol. Darius isn't exactly very emotional, he's not going to let his emotions get in the way that he'll do something he'll resent. His reaction to Quill's son dying in a war was a little bit mild. He obviously cares a lot about Quill (his family a lot, considering his love for his brother Draven too), but will remain loyal to Noxus. Darius is just older and has a lot more experience than someone like Garen. He takes a lot of honor in his work too.
