@Riot so after MF's splashes are updated, who's next on the list?

I know that Miss Fortune's splashes are due to be updated next, but I haven't really heard about who's next on that list of champs getting a splash update. I was just curious as to who's next after MF just in case Karthus happens to be afterward :P

Sivir is also on the list of champs to get a splash update soon, but granted that the Urgot rework would be followed shortly by the Evelynn rework, we may not see MF splashes till October-ish and we'd be lucky if we got another splash update for the year after her, imo.

Reav3 will be posting another state of champ update after Urgot so keep an eye out for that

I know you will be. Sona really needs the splash updates too :)

With this logic, no champion will have splash art update lmao.

Karma took at least a month and a half after they said they were starting on her splashes and she only had 3 to do, MF has six. When I said that we may not get any updates after MF, I didn't mean they would be packing up shop for the year, rather I assume that whoever they work on after MF may have their splashes released in January if not during the pre-season.

I doubt that. Smaller splash art updates tend to come out fairly quickly. If anything MF will show up before or shortly after Urgot is released as they are in the stages of working on her now as well. So I'm saying by August, as I still believe Eve will be seen more towards October.

That is assuming Evelynn's release is due Octoberish and not August-September ish. If all they need to release Evelynn in August are her splashes, they aren't going to say, well MF... they are going to do the Eve splashes and then get back to MF.

I'm not sure I understand some of that but as we've seen for quite some time, they have spaced out the champion updates, champion releases and splash updates.

Warwick's update was released January 25th followed by Galio on March 21st with the Karma Splash Update on April 12th. We then go into the mid season on May 3rd with Maokai, Sej and Zac updates (along with Mao and Sej splashes). New comers approach us in the April 19th Patch (Rakan and Xayah).

Then from the other info we have so far, there is at least one more new champion to be released before Urgot (sometime mid June or early July). Then we have Urgot himself (July to August), and this is then where I say we see the MF splashes (September), and then Eve (October) and then the Pre-season Class update and Pre-season changes (November).

So MF is still a wild card here as I said August before but then looking back at what we have, it could be September.

it's actually this (confirmed)

  1. new champion
  2. Urgot VGU
  3. new champion
  4. Evelynn VGU

i will go ahead and say MissFortune splashes are gonna be somewhere between Urgot-new champ-Evelynn

Oh so there is another champion after him as well. I thought they might but wasn't sure.

Reworks are usually 6-8 months between each other and there are 2 rework teams. One team worked on Warwick and this is the team that is currently working on Urgot, Urgot would have started in the final month of the Warwick rework before Warwick was released, this is called the preproduction phase, which is why we can expect Urgot as early as the end of this month or the beginning of next month. Evelynn would also follow 6-8 months after Galio which was worked on by the second team, and since Galio was a month and a half after Warwick, we can also assume Evelynn would be at least within 2 months after Urgot. The have a completely different team for class updates and new champions, so VGU's usually don,t depend on, whether or not a new champion is going to be released, its more a matter of whoever finishes first, the new champ team or the VGU team.

There are 3 champ up teams as they are called actually. 2 of which do the champion reworks and the third does the class updates.

It was already confirmed Urgot had been in production for about 4 months before Eve. And as said before they already have their plans of A new champion, Urgot, A New Champion, Eve. So everything else is in between these.

I hope it's Sivir next. Her recent Chinese splash update is even worse than what it was originally used.

By recent, you mean like 2 years, right?

Still feels like it was yesterday.

I personally find the Chinese art more appealing than her previous art.

Overall I think that Sivir and Karthus should be their biggest priorities. I mean Sivirs anime-style splash arts simply clash with the rest of the game and the splash arts of Karthus don't match their ingame appearances at all.
