I still don't like Kat's updated splash.

I miss the old one. I understand the new one is a much higher quality of art. Its well made, it flows well and has good focus. But it just looks so weird to me.

The shunpo effect is cool but the contortion in her body looks odd to me, It still just feels wrong. I've tried to like it i really have. But its just not Kat to me. Actually both of them are outdated,cuz katarina’s shunpo is no longer a blink its a really quick dash,her lore says she is just an assassin she has NO magical powers ,even ingame if u focus on her shunpo u can see its just a quick dash

Thats the point though. Poppys W only stops dashes,not blinks. So since Katas shunpo isn't stopped,it is a blink,not a dash.

It's always been a dash, but with the rework, they made the ability look more like a dash. It works like a blink but technically she's dashes.

It's always been a dash, but with the rework, they made the ability look more like a dash. It works like a blink but technically she's dashes, just look up what a shunpo is.

Yeah she doesnt like cowardice. Its why she doesnt like Leblanc and swain. She thinks theyre cowards. They removed her other joke: "Killing is my duty... fun is yelling surprise!" Because it didnt fit her.

She enjoys killing difficult targets. Thats how she even got the scar,since she neglected her duty in favor of killing a more difficult target. Once she realized her mistake she killed her original target,but had to fight through several guards,with one of them being able to get a hit on her.

She did not kill a more difficult target. She killed what she thought was a more target, that would benefit Noxus, but she actually fell for a decoy. She does enjoy it if they have some fight in them, but her main goal is benefit Noxus.

The last sentence of her lore outright says

The scar she earned that night now serves as a constant reminder that she must never let passion interfere with duty.

So her passion for difficult targets led to her decision to take on the demacian general instead of the officer(the general wasn't a decoy either,its just that killing the officer was just more important at that time).

No her passion for Noxus. She thought a more impressive target would help Noxus more and ignored her assignment. Basically regardless of what she thinks is best she'll stay loyal and heed commands. And yes the dude was there as a decoy. So if anyone attacked the camp they would focus on the general not the strategist. It's or at least was a common military tactic with the intended effect being exactly what happened in her Lore.

Her lore makes it pretty clear that Katarina was kind of a gloryhound back then. It says that her task was "aggravatingly simple" and how the general was an "impressive kill",the lore piece wouldn't use words like this if Katarina didn't feel the same way.

Also her quotes are full of lines like "I like it." "Why? Because I can." "My pleasure."

So she definetly has a sadistic streak as well.

The happiness in her face is literally that feeling a player gets even proc'ing her voracity and has always been on her icons for the passive.

Kat is always happy just listen to her quotes or watch either cinematic she's in. Yeah, her hair on the right side looking at the photo seems off but it's still way better than the original

its definitely much more like the cinematic. i appreciate that its more expressive and gives you an impression of her personality as well as her gameplay (mobile, aggressive) so i personally like the splash changes, although i'm not a katarina main so i get that my opinion doesnt really matter as much lol.
