Like a Lot of People, I Don't Like How Much Viktor Changed in Jayce's Lore

Riot really just fucked up my perception of Viktor. We had this inventor from Zaun who made Blitzcrank and sorta just went away and hid when his credit was taken, soon to reemerge as this morally grey transhumanist. That's the kind of lore I like, not just some comic book style villain; we have Veigar for the whole super villain idea. Jayce is a dick, I get it, and maybe we can have Jayce and Viktor be related before their whole combat 1 on 1 in Zaun, but can we NOT FUCK UP how Viktor used to be? I'm a huge lore nerd, and it's hard to be one when the lore goes from "good" to "what the fuck?"

Riot has fucked with the perception of Viktor ever since Jayce was a thing. Only this time, Jayce's came first.

It is kind of hard to see coming back when your first view of a guy is seeing them trying to stomp out free will. Especially since prior to this his biggest breakthrough was designing free will in Blitzcrank.

Really goes against the whole transhumanist vibe he was originally slated to have.

Yeah...I think Viktor's more focused on rooting out free will to remove mistakes that threaten the greater whole. He probably enjoys hive colonies like bees or ants in this regard.

It's still a very villainous flaw and hard to make Grey.

It's also a bit strange because removing emotions is just as horrifying but is much easier to make a morally grey stance on. And fits the lore better. One wonders why the story wasn't crafted just to show that.
