A poll for darius mains/enthusiasts

Enthusiast is someone who doesn't main darius but for whatever reason likes darius (could be lore, could be his aesthetics in game, etc.).

The question for the poll is relatively straightforward.

Between the first splash art and the current one, which one do you believe better reflects Darius' character? On the top is the old splash art, on the bottom is the new splash art. THIS IS NOT A CONTEST OF WHICH ARTWORK LOOKS BETTER. The question is which one better reflects darius' character. I would suggest reading his lore for those who are unsure available on the league wiki under darius' page.

I feel both have their own pros and cons. In the old one he doesn't look that wild,which is a pro in my opinion.

But I agree with ralanr that he looks a bit like he is leading demons,which is really unfitting.

While the new one looks pretty wild,I'd say it does depict the way he fights pretty accurate. I mean ingame he does scream when using noxian guillotine,so him screaming while hacking away his enemies isn't out of character for him.

In general I'd say the old one shows us how darius is while out of combat(notably he stands atop a bunch of corpses so the battle seems to be already over),while the new one shows him in combat.

Honestly I like both. The newer one has a better background that shows he's leading and fighting with his troops. The background in the old one looks like demons are following him.

I'd honestly go with the new one, it has much more quality and detail

while the old one is more iconic, it does show it's age quite a bit

The old one. Why you ask? Look at what he's doing. He's not swinging his axe. He's not screaming with the bloodlust of battle. He's not simply "standing in a pile of bodies" as someone said. He's fucking bashing someone's head into the bodies of his dead compatriots.

THIS is what Darius is about. The battle has been already won. There is no need for extra bloodshed. Yet Darius is killing that soldier with his own hands. No emotions. This is Darius. He is not Tryndamere who will be blinded by rage. He's stone cold. Slowly but surely marching over his enemies and murdering anyone stupid enough to be on his way. To put it shortly: you can see the inexorability in the old splash.

You can feel that in every aspect of the old splash. From what he's doing to where he's looking to his facil expression. Yes, he's killing a man. But he's not even looking at it. He's looking directly at you. From his face you can easily tell: you're next. All you can do run, because if he ever catches up to you, you are dead.

That's what Darius is.

I like how his and garens are similar, but different, for both are foils. I like how both are spinning in their splashes. While the old shows how in comman he is, the new one better reflect his blood lust in battle
